Here is a pic of the corner brackets on the front fork. The metal bracket added the first stage of stability to the PVC piping.

Here is the special Gusher box that I used to push the fiberglass to the inner wall of the brackets. I later realized I may have overdone it with the extra fiberglassing. The round blue circles under the hammer are made of acrylic and fit exactly into the ends of the axle pipes. e

This is the fiberglass rod that will be used to hold the wheel on the axle. The wheels will not turn but will roll. I used the tape to hold the axle centered within the pipe and the tape runs six inches down the inside to protect the sides from having resin stick to it. the idea is the acrylic sleeve will slide on the inside of the pipe so the wheel can roll.

Here is the bracket with holes drilled at the top and bottom to allow the fiberglass to flow into them and lock the pieces to the pipe. The tape acts as a barrier to prevent the fiberglass from sticking to the sides.

Here is the rear arm to the rear axle. On the real Batpod the chain would travel through the upper and return through the lower parrts. The black had to be drilled and the dremeled out to allow the pipe to pass through. This is so much stronger than to try and bird mouth the pipe to the black pipe. I have a air dremel but starting up my compressor in my nieghborhood at 9:00pm is kinda rude. So I went down to Lowes and bought and electric dremel. I think this is my new favorite tool.

The rear arm has been primered and glued to hold it in place but the stremgth will come with packing the fiberglass. I even drilled holes in the white pipes within the opening of the black pipes to key lock the pieces together. The tape is to create a waterproof barrier to hold the resin within after the piece is flipped and the fiberglass is packed.

The primer is run through the inside of the pipes to prepare it for the fiberglass resin. The bottom of the white pipes will be taped and then the resin packed into the top. Its time consuming because things have to be done in a certain order. Thanks for looking....BWD 17 days to go...

Dave looking great! I must say you are putting quite a bit of detail into this. Are you purely using this as a template for your final build or will this serve as a completed static model for shows etc??

Hey FLMike probably both. I wanted to build one based off the real Batpod but because of some engineering and design issues it doesn't make sense to build a full working Batpod without addressing some of the issues. thanks for the kind words. Thanks for looking...Dave aka BWD Always easier to mock-up in cardboard. It seems like it might be a waste of time but cutting it out in an easy cheap material before you cut the expensive fiberglass will actually save you time and money.

Here is an issue I overlooked. It looked at first like it was one long curve but I can see it stays straight for a period of time. Here's how I eyeball the shape.
