Transferring image and then trying to straighten it out with a straight edge. if its wrong it could be a massive waste of time.

The rear box is made and ready for fiberglassing within the corners, First I cut the pieces and tape the inside corners. Then I put tape perpendicular to the outside seams. I leave space for tabbing. Tabbing is done by mixing bondo and touching it to one side and bridging it to the other side. I say bridging cause your not suppose to smear it on but almost lift it over the corner. Its makes it easier to pop it off later. The bondo is a temporary hold. Then the fiberglass goes down the inside of the box. Oh I forgot I always grind the inside corner and acetone it before I tape it together. Makes it easier that way and great adhesion. Oh I always brush resin on first and brush resin onto the strips of fiberglass making sure I have it fully saturated then overlapping the strips. Thats it. 3/4 oz for corners. excess resin is a waste and has no strength. So less is more.

I boxed in the top which is what you see. But I also need access to through the bottom for reinforcement.

Here's an acrylic tube that fits within the black pipe. The blue circle is a protective vinyl over and acrylic circle. I recessed it down to give a more custom look. This is not on the original couldn't help myself.

Here the fiberglass pieces are all bonded together with fiberglass strips to the inside. They are extremely strong.

This connection takes the full load of the bike. Probably one of the most critical joints especially if pople were to sit on the bike
