Well how the hell am I supposed to know. again making it up as I go along never used bondo before not sure what it's strengths and weaknesses are. I figured bondo was mostly surface smoothing but then I recalled Tim formed his side step out of the stuff.. I'll give it a go

Yup, some short strand filler is great to build up volume and strength

I tried the bondo glass , not alot of play time with it maybe 2 minutes, adding the curing agent is going to be guesswork at best so far it seems ok I'll check when I get home tonight to see how it cures up. I think it'll be ok... later

Adam not that I know what I am doing but you did sand the fiberglass area before you added your bondoglass other wise it may stay for a short time but will fall out it it needs that etching or scratched surface to bond to. This also holds true when adding more mat or strand glass and resin to an area that you have is already worked on and its cured before adding more glass you must etch that area. Again Im sure you know this but just making sure because they dont give resin or mat or bondoglass away its pricey.

Thanks for the info Nitro but its toooooo late I'm going to have to do it all again
Kidding I'm using a 1/2 inch belt sander to scuff and clean up the areas then washing out the area to get rid of the dust.. I may not have done it over 100 percent of the area so there may be problems down the road but right now I'm only about 25% done will scuff entire area on the next few rounds the rest of the material will be sandwiched around what I've already done, and whenI put a flash light behind it no signs of delamination I can't see any air pockets.... well no big pockets.......maybe I'll just start again.....
So before I start anything else I want a heads up as what not to do before I start... Thanks
