Another long day two new pool appointments and got the arrow piece cut and one section added. Also got the roof arrow bondo tabbing removed and sanded. Got the sides of the arrow cut, bondo tabbed and then fiberglassed between my meetings. Hopefully I have the morning off tomorrow to move forward a little, Got to get the T-Rex doors and convertible top on tomorrow. I am planning on trailering it down to Barstow where my mother and sister live. Going to start shuttling some of my stuff over to my moms house as I may be more involved with her property. She has 5 acres and a great shop for storage. So at least Ill have the T-Rex there to da a little four wheeling on the weekends. Heres the first piece of the main body panel with the arrow. Since one of the triangles is missing the notch at the bottom is way off of the notch in the front control panels. Should have this all corrected tomorrow. Im also thinking of adjusting the bottom piece of the control arm panels at a little steeper angle. Just looks too flat to me....BWD

Going to be traveling down to Barstow on Thursday so one of my goals is to catch up on my videos. I still have Sturgis videos and some fiberglassing videos I made that need to be editied. With this long shot you can more clearly see the problem....BWD

Its like hanging the panels in mid air. Lots of visual comparison from my buddy shaggy. Like they say a picture is worth a thousand words. Got some of the side components done but its still a mixed up box of cracker jacks....Thanks for looking...BWD

Hey James we all have the talent in us we just have to let it flow. Would not have a problem coming out your way if you need some help. Just got to set a game plan. A critical path of whats the most important thing to do first. Thanks for the kind words.
I'm working on that arrow panel and got it straighten out letting the bondo set. Also got the roof arrow setting I cut it long ways and across the middle. It looks cool to me because the top bevel is in the shape of a cross.
Suppose to load up the T-Rex today for our trip to Barstow tomorrow. Three days of no fiberglassing it's going to be torture. Was thinking of bringing a couple pieces and some bondo to straighten out the edges. That's when you know you have a problem I was actually considering that lol. Thanks again for the kind word but I really am a simple guy with a simple mind. I feel anybody can do this if they set their mind to it. Thanks for looking BWD

Here's were the missing panel needs to go. I mark everything clearly that is to be cut because making the wrong cut can create a lot of extra work. Its important to note these strips are very lightweight. The reasoning is I may have to cut them so I don't was to reinforce them too much...BWD

Here's the roof arrow cut down the middle to give it some addition stealth bomber look. What's interesting is on the straight pieces the eye can pick up pretty subtle differences. The point on the right is 1/16 inch too high. Curves are harder to see but you can teach yourself to feel the difference. A trick is to try it with a latex glove on it helps to amplify those slight bumps.

Here is the roof arrow cleaned of bondo and rough sanded with 80 grit sand paper. For some strange reason I really like chiseling off the bondo. I wear earplugs and eye protection. O like wearing sand goggles like the ones you use when riding a quad. for some reason maybe the capacity of the area behind the lense I don't get as much condensation like I do with safety glasses. No matter what angle I chisel the bondo pieces always end up shooting right back towards my eyes....BWD

Here you can see how far the point is off based off the marker line.
