so... today I went out and finished the spindles and put on the front tires
ya I know that was a bad picture but the battery was dieing in the camera, I was lucky to get this next one ...I finally connected the rear to the midsection and welded the shocks into place
I stood on it and these shocks are not as stiff as I would like at that top setting so I might move it down to the next hole.

That looks great! I am sure it was quite a sight for your neighbor. haha. Everything seems to be coming along nicely, so far. I can't wait to see how you link up all the steering controls. Very educational!

Well, ok, I havent posted anything for the past few days because, well I've been sick and I'm trying to figure out the set-up for the front suspention. this is what I was going to do...
but when I put the weight of the kart on the springs it causes the frame and arms to bow to much ....so I'll have to up grade to larger springs...so I started to call around and I found one that I'll have to cut down. Its a spring thats used on a rear discharge rod for a John Deer round hay bayler....this..
so my question to you guys is this. Do you think that the springs will work whene there cut ...because the flat contact area will only be on one end and not the other. this spring is rated at 310 of presure per loaded inch.

The piece that the spring is on is nowhere near strong enough. It has to be able to support the weight of the cart + rider.
