Dave, just got a chance to read all the issues you are having with your builds. Sorry to hear that bud. Just remember, when its all said and done, this will be but pebbles in the Grand Canyon. You do excellent work, and I, for one, appreciate the extra effort you go through to create wonderful work, especially when it comes down to problems you run into such as these with the machine shops.

Be safe, and happy building!

Hey shaggy good to hear from you? Thanks for checking out my ramblings.lol
Today I picked up the majority of my powder coated pieces for the Honu1. I'm going to make a video of the reassembly. Still have gun cluster to finish and the rear aluminum hub assembly but other than that the bike is done done done!
Honu2 which is my version of the Batpod is very close to driving.center chassis with power plant and chassis is ready for final welding. The front end is together ready for front steering shaft but hubs and wheels are done. Rear arm carries the weight of the bike and drive shaft is splined and milled to accept drive pulley and carrier bearing. Just need to take it back and get the key way installed. I did have two shafts made for the Honu3 too.
Gas tank is operational with electric fuel pump installed. Had rims for the Honu2 polished on both sides. Handle bars will be shoulder steer with HD seat. again I have a ton of things to do but at least we are moving in a forward momentum.
Got knee rest back from machine shop One and weld able foot rest mounts from shop Two! Life is good. I'll be taking parts to water jet shops one and two. And working with a laser cutting shop for some emblem work.again I am working off the iPad and copying videos on my laptop. I have a ton of videos and pics to download and never enough time. Thanks for following my builds hope to have more uploaded soon. You can check some of my progress photos on Facebook under "bat builder" thanks for looking.....Dave

Here's a pic of the Honu2 a couple weeks ago so it has moved forward quite a bit.  We are getting close to being able to test ride this baby. After we determine its drivable we will final weld the whole bike and start the powder coating of the pieces. There's still a ton to do but moving in the right direction....Thanks for looking....dave

Some of the quality parts My biggest problem is just wanting the best workmanship; It slows me down and makes me second guess but its probably my best asset.

So where are you going to find a test pilot for that thing?

Maybe roll it down a shallow incline first and work your way up to steeper and faster.

Most of all be careful ...

and then take it over some sweet jumps

Cant wait to see it finished.

No really I can't wait!................ so finish it already.

Hey unholy and batman4reals, we are so close. We have the center chassis welded out. The shock is mounted and we created a major brace system to hold the end of the shock and still have the shock fit under the chest plate. The handle bar is done and feels better than the honu1 handle bars. I think it's the position of the grips being more horizontal. I got the steering shaft with two bearings it will run through the front fork. We have to get the steering rod from the handle bar lever to the top of the steering shaft. Then the steering rod from the lower part of the fork to the spindle.
The rear drive axle has been installed just need a bearing plate machined so waiting for that.
Hey Unholy I'd be happy just to be pushed around on the bike for now. I had the wheels polished all the way through. They look stunning. Hope we don't screw them up too much with our test rides. Waiting for the 3/4 inch couplers for the steering shaft end. It's getting close though. I have less than 30 days to get this bike finished.thanks for watching....Dave aka BWD

Got the steering shaft mounted and now working on upper and lower steering levers. Got machined hub for rear axle in and should get drive belt in 2 days. Steering will be mocked up initially with 1/8 inch thick steel plate so we can maximize front steering top wheel ratio. After we have come up with correct length and angle then we will transfer pattern to double 1/4 plate. Still working on Aloha Brother's website and wanted to show the strength of the Rumbler's construction. Please tell me what you think as this may be the 1st video up on AB landing page. It will get replaced as we start to test ride the Honu2. Thanks for looking....dave...aka BWD
