quick question/s: what is the distance of the floor pan to the ground relative to the base of the body and the ground? What did the seats come out of? and how's the headroom?
Reason for me asking is that I'm currently in the structural and mechanical design stages of fabricating a 89' and plan to use 87' Honda CRX bucket seats and remember reading somewhere in this forum that you've incorporated similar seats, if not the same.
Do I look like someone with a plan? 0_o

The bottom of my floor pan is 2" below the side frame rails which are 4x4 box tubing.
My seats are out of a 96 civic and I modified the sliders to sit flat to get extra head room and make it a simple flat mounting point
For me, I have the seats reclined a bit and I can make a fist between my head and the ceiling of the canopy (with my thumb down against my head)
I am about 5'7" but others just make the seat recline more to fit in.

Thank you That pretty much sounds pretty exact to my own rough draft dimensions. To assist in reclining the seat back further I had decided on placing the firewall in at the very fore point were the bonnet meets the aft half of the body. An adjustable pedal unit will be incorporated to better accommodate drivers' 5' to 6'.5"
