Stirring? not sure what you're meaning 4reals....and nope, i'm not putting the dually's on. the front is too narrow and i think it would not look right if i widen the back even more. I want to see how this does and take it from there....

MAN that is alot of snow . conrad You beat me to it, I was going to take mine out in the snow also but we havent had a foot this year, just a lot of mornning light stuff, then melts in the afternoon. I was just waiting to get more snow but oh well I have to take the engine off the kart anyways.

Wow Conrad,

That's a large step- the test drive.
I'm "close" to a test drive, but it probably a couple weeks yet.

I've got 2 foot of snow in the yard, and 6 inches of compacted snow on my (long) driveway. My wife asked me why I couldn't put a snow plow on the front of the tumbler...

It should be obvious to her that if Batman thought there was too much snow for the Tumbler, he'd just take the Batwing....

Or just turn the turbine on and melt it all away while barbequeing burgers.

These tests are not that "real" in my view. I need a much more open space, flat, dirt, seat harness installed and alot of gas...that's coming soon. well, as soon as the snow goes away and i get use of a trailer.

by the way...your build is looking GREAT. i just read your post a little last night. that servo thing your making is so awesome that it's beyond awesome. i love it. i want to do it. but first, i need to really test drive my vehicle somewhere. make corrections adjustments and so on.

Hang in there Conrad, at least you know the motor works in cold conditions. The last time I seen a batmobile in the snow was the movie Batman Returns. Yes your next step is getting a trailer, I did. It makes it a lot easier. I just got one the other day, its called the Bat Transport!! []_

hello!!! hey 4reas..i saw your trailer...very cool. your vehicle is awesome! i wanna see it on the dirt trails scaring the pant's off of the quads!!

so it's 45-47 degrees out and the snow is melting. this time of year that temp makes it feel like spring. so i w'm out today video taping. I still need to get out to a better location but that will have to wait right now.

with the little driving i'm doing I've made some discoveries.

 - the previous belt i was using is approx 47 1/2 inches. when accelerating this belt starts to pass the edge of the torque converter minimizing grip. I bought 2 shorter belts: a 46" and a 44 3/4". Today i'm using the 46 and there is a noticable improvement on grip when accelerating. however it still comes close to the edge of the TC but better a response. when I go out for real testing I'll be using the 44 3/4 belt.

 - I remember what BWD mentioned about being back heavy...correct-o-mundo. when hitting little snow bumps i can feel how light the front is compared to the back.

 - although it's working, Steering could definitely be better.

 - want to get longer shocks for the front. currently have 14" eye to eye. Want to get 15 or 15.5 to raise the front a bit. I bottomed out a couple of times going up the driveway.

So i'm about to put a short video together to document today's fun.
