So there's the 1:18 from the top - which should be the same as the Onstar car - right Dave?

Here's the pic from Returns from the top:

Here's about the closest thing I could find for the original:

Has anyone seen this pic before?  It's supposed to be the orignal on the pinewood lot:

They don't line up all that great.  Some of it could be the photos, but some of it is obviously just different.  The tips of the front quarters and the shape of the canopy.  Dave talked about the shape of the canopy before...

Good sleuthin' Tim.  I think that 1:18 pic was yours or Justins to begin with.  I just wish I could find an overhead shot for 89.

Yeah, that was one I did just laying the car upside down on the scanner, so it is likely a bit distorted.

2wylde,

I haven't seen that pic before. It looks like it came out of a magazine. Notice the car has no windshield.

I don't have a batmobile, but I have a remote R2-D2

N8, what are you looking at when you can spot the difference so easily?  How far the vents come out past the thruster?  Or are you looking at the relation of the gas cap or maybe from the back?

The space on the outside of the gas caps to the edge of the wheel well, and the distance of the fins from the outside edge of the car. Also the location of the tail lights in the center instead of more towards the edge of the car.  I went back through photos and now the original onstar car sticks out literally like a sore thumb to me!
