The Hot Wheels elite 1/18th DOJ batmobile is currently on Amazon for 60.00.
By the way the scale is really 1/25.
Here are a few more images.
It is a lot closer to the low sleek DOJ than the RC car and should compliment the 3D program you and sly are working from.
Also the only model that has all 5 of the actuators on each wing.
Since I am building the Justice League variant the RC car is better for me.
It is skewed, but the skewing is 99% in all the right places that I would have skewed anyway. Great for me.
Not so good, for the low sleek DOJ presentation.
By the way, the Hot Wheels DOJ elite cost more than a million dollars to put into production.
Mattel blames low sales of this model on the movie attendance and inadequate screen presentation of the DOJ batmobile. Also gave same reasons for RC model failure.
Also, after Mattels failures to sell the Hot Wheels elite 1/18th and RC models, many major collectors and critics of Batman related models are current writing that the chances of Hot Toys 1/6th DOJ/Justice League batmobiles being produced is very unlikely. Especially since Hot Toys decided not to release the 1/6th 1966.
So far, high end models of the DOJ/Justice League batmobiles have been major losers for Mattel.
Will Hot Toys try to release a very high end 1/6th DOJ/Justice league for 800-1000.00 or more when Mattel failed to get their asking price of 250.00 for their RC model?????????????

For now I am going to stick with donor axle and leaf springs. Plan to change them out in the future and go to a four link. Plan to work on everything I can do first. Currently focused on layout and modifications to frame.
Where are you going to get the H2 axle for your build. Will it require any modifications? How much does it weigh and cost to ship?
The H2 already has the brackets for the 4-link it was already designed for, the only mods to the axle itself will be to gusset those existing brackets for strength. They're findable easy enough at big salvage yards, and are generally shipped on a pallet, most average around $100 to ship or less. The b-mobile basically ends at the rear axle that makes up the back of the car, so having a leaf spring rear with frame to hold it going well past the rear end will require a lot of extra metal added to the middle frame just to get the wheel base you want.
what is the distance between your frame rails throughout the section where the Cab resides? What is the total length of the frame? And what is the distance from the front wheel hub back to the frame bracket for the front leaf spring mount of the rear end?

So I went back and found your actual truck pic and shortened one of your chassis pics to the regular cab you have...
This is the rough guidelines for what you would be rearranging on your frame to start. Red areas are what gets cut, the yellow is what is reused in the new arrangement. There should be enough good metal in the existing frame to get your base start completed... then chassis tubing and cab materials plans for reuse start coming into play. I can outline all of that if you like this start and want to go this direction.
You're going to be widening out from the kept as-is front steering section of the frame about 18-20" total at the very most, but I will get more exact for you as we spec this out. The rear front spring perch is where the 48" lower trailing arms (blue) for the new 4link will mount up to get your proper ~160"ish wheelbase.

The engine will get moved back toward the cab firewall section about 10-12" and new mount orientation with a car hemi oil-pan, intake manifold, and accessories will lower the height quite a bit, with the pan bottom aligned with the very lowest point of the frame rails. You will need to grab an auto 2wd tranny and most likely an extended cab driveshaft to make up the rest of your distance to the new rear end placement.

First off, I have to say your depth and breath of knowledge concerning this build has never ceased to amaze me.
I have never communicated with anyone that freely gave so much of their building knowledge. I rarely leave after reading your postings without having learned something of value and a rejuvenated inspiration.
I appreciate all the information that you have contributed to my build.
I have incorporated much of it into my own building plans.
If it is not too much trouble I would greatly appreciate the "detailed measurement drawings from other angles for frame mods?"
Compared to yours and sly's lower and sleeker DOJ version, my Justice League version has a some skewed dimensional differences.
Currently, working on lower frame modifications.
Only problem, is finding a couple hours a day to put into my build.

thanks for the kind words.
allrighty, I'll put the rest of the details together... I think yours won't be that skewed after I get you these drawings, as I am still working them around similar dimensions to what sly and I are working towards. Your engine height if you swap out parts for the car version will only adjust your hood into cockpit height up about 3.5inches compared to ours, so hopefully that will be easy enough to work into this with as little skewing as possible.
Could you post a hi-res straight from the front at the level of your frame picture of your bare front end as i sits now please? With the tires/wheels on it is good...

Hey THEMAN,
Yesterday I reviewed all my frame information and planning materials then decided on my frame setup.
I will no longer be needing the alternate view frame planning materials you so kindly offered.
I apologize if I took up any of your time on the alternate frame view.
Incorporated some of the information from the sideview plans you had provided.
I greatly appreciate all the help you have given me on my Justice League build.
Bought steel for my frame modifications and did some cutting on the factory frame yesterday.
Hope to make some progress this weekend. Cutting, fitting, and welding.
