"Love it! The passenger side will be some kind of canon, right?"

Thanks for the kind words.

Did not want to give up having a passenger seat, so I plan to make the cannon assembly a plug in unit.
Unplug cannon assembly and its back to a two seater.

Progress Report,
12-hours more on my Justice League build.
Cut and tack welded in 4 more feet of the center skid plate. (still need to cut and tack weld in 2 more feet)
Cut a proxy wood pattern for the side clad panel. (after translating into steel it will be used to attach other mods)

Will continue on the work left to do on the core frame and add on modifications. Lots of welding.

The behind the seats plywood proxy pattern will be translated into steel and will serve as the back area behind the seats and with heavy tubing welded around and to the plate will serve as a heavy duty roll bar with a strong mounting to the main frame.

At this point I still have a nice clear vision of this build and trajectory.
I owe a lot of this to sly and THEMAN. Their motivation, build ideas, and mental drive towards constructing their Dawn of Justice batmobiles has awed and inspired me into my own action and drive on my build.

Hey brother, nice progress and thanks for the props. I would echo that completely, you and THEMAN keep me motivated all the time.

Here, I was reviewing you post on seat placement. Any thought on angling the rear support back. I think the rollbar is about a 5% angle on the original, although I don’t have a way to check that right now. Also, do you plan to put the seat down into the frame. Since you’re doing the Justice Le one I bet you would have room to do that without frame modifications. If you put it on top of the rails you might run into the same problem that South American build has of the seating being so high that the body needs to be skewed to the point it looks tall and short.

sly,
"Here, I was reviewing your post on seat placement. Any thought on angling the rear support back. I think the rollbar is about a 5% angle on the original, although I don’t have a way to check that right now."

My Justice League batmobile will probably weigh 3-4,000 lbs more than THEMAN and your batmobiles.
Since my build is making use of heavy steel frame and body plate panels I will need a heavy duty roll bar.

"Also, do you plan to put the seats down into the frame. Since you’re doing the Justice League one I bet you would have room to do that without frame modifications."

I have 39-inches inside between the frames. 19-1/2"
Given, that I don't need the space behind the seats for a rear mounted engine, a tandem seating arrangement is even possible without any visible change to the exterior except for lowering the height by 10-1/2".

"If you put it on top of the rails you might run into the same problem that South American build has of the seating being so high that the body needs to be skewed to the point it looks tall and short."

The Justice League RC model from Mattel measures out with a few modifications for my seats to be located on top of the rails.

Given the dimensions of the movie DOJ/JL batmobiles and the restrictive limit of eight feet-six inches wide for a street legal build, these replica builds have to compromise somewhere. Losing approximately 3-feet of movie car material width to squeeze through an 8'-6" legal roadway restriction will show up somewhere.

This is my current design layout for my Justice League from an overheard view perspective.
I am fairly well satisfied with this.
How tall I make the vehicle is still a work in progress.

Progress Report,
10-hours more on my Justice League build.

Cut and tack welded in last 2 feet of the center skid plate.

Used wood pattern of side clad panels to cut two outside steel clad panels.
These will be used to attach other frame modifications.

Will continue on the work left to do on the core frame and add on modifications. Lots of welding.

"Also, do you plan to put the seats down into the frame. Since you’re doing the Justice League one I bet you would have room to do that without frame modifications." True if I was using a cannon in passenger seat.

I have 39-inches inside between the frames. 19-1/2" per person.
Given, that I don't need the space behind the seats for a rear mounted engine, a tandem seating arrangement is even possible without any visible change to the exterior except for lowering the height by 10-1/2".

Attached a few photo-images of what a tandem seating might look like.

I appreciate the props as well... I think we all feed off each other's motivation.
So where is your drive train and exhaust existing? There is no tunnel, and if you're planning on putting the tranny and shaft on top the skid plate you will be sending all that heat into the seating area... Not to mention the exhaust routing.

THEMAN,
"So where is your drive train and exhaust existing? There is no tunnel, and if you're planning on putting the tranny and shaft on top the skid plate you will be sending all that heat into the seating area... Not to mention the exhaust routing."

Hey THEMAN, you are right.
If I was going to put my seating on the skid plate I would have to rear mount the engine, etc.

As it is, my seating fits just right, side by side or in Tandem, on top of the frame rails.

So, my tunnel area below the seats is available for my drive train and exhaust piping.
