Ok, Figured Id do a quick post before I got started this morning. Moving the motor back today. got all the metal I need to make me motor and transmission mounts. Decided to just fabricate both mounts. Ill take photos and post them later. I still have pics to upload of the frame being stretched for all the photo junkies like myself.

This is the frame being stretched. We put the car on level ground and then tack welded metal that would go from the frame to the ground. We did this in 8 points around the car so that when the frame was cut the frame would stay level. Once the frame was placed back together I was able to remove the supports with ease.

Once the frame was stretched my welding friend and I moved the engine back. We bolted a heavy chain to the engine block and picked the engine up using a fork lift. We put the drve shaft back in and centered the engine where we wanted it and then began making the transmission mount first. This photo is how we made the Trans mount. Ill update this photo later that shows the rubber piece that we later decited to add back into it. Figured GM put it there for some reason. Possibly for allowing the transmission to give some when the motor twists from tork. That and maybe help with any kind of vibration.

In this photo you can see where the transmission mount was welded to the frame. You can also see kinda how we decided to stretch the frame. I started with 4x4 box tubing but after we started to mess with it my welding friend decided to go with 3x3 box tubing that was a good bit thicker. It slid into the existing GM frame with slight modification and gave him more area to put welds on. When I get off work today Ill take more detailed photos of the frame and how we welded it.

I have removed the springs and the shocks from the front and back. Man the frame looks wicked with the drive train lowered and the frame slamed to the ground. I do have a question. Are other people using the same rear shocks after adding the bags? Reason I ask is with the shocks still in place the rear of the frame didnt sit all the way down.

Oh and another question. Would you guys give me a measurement of the height of your seats please?  I was looking at a set from Summit just to get me by but the height of those are 32 inches tall.

With the springs out and the shocks still in my frame bottoms out not the bump stop on the differential. If it doesn't touch try standing on the back the extra weight should bring it down some more. Brcewane strapped down the rear to the axle to keep it at it,s lowest point. And keeps it nice and square. As for the seats I just more or less said these look cool I'll make em work. I still haven't yet so cross your fingers.
