Got body...
Got donor...
Getting parts...
Got the tools...
Got the garage plans...

Now, got to decide. . .garage. . . 89. . .

Ah, H, E, double hockey sticks! Guess I'll go with a portable garage, and save the funds for the 89!

Supposed to finally hit 70 by Monday around here. I guess I can work outside for another summer!

damn. . what i'dgive to be rich! guess I should stop adopting all these kids!

( No, unholy, they ARE NOT slave labor! Don't get any ideas!)

Hey Gang!

Long time since my last post, though based on previous threads i've read, my behavior is probably not unanticipated. lol

The batmobile project is of course still alive and well, though just sidetracked. As mentioned earlier, I took a few months off to build a full sized Tardis, then took a couple MORE months off to start a business refurbishing harley davidsons.

My shop is ENTIRELY clean and straightened up now that those mess creating projects are behind me, and just yesterday I started re-focusing on the mattmobile.

I put the car in the center of my shop, and started re-aligning the shell on the frame. Coming at it with new eyes definitely has its advantages, and there are a few things about the shell I previously considered "sacred cows" that I now have decided I will modify in order to make a few different aspects of the build easier to work with. More on that as it comes together, but the bottom line is that it served as a real refresher in enthusiasm, as some of the longstanding bothersome things about the build have now shifted focus.

More soon!

Hi Matt,

Good to hear from you again... Did you end up moving up to Toronto? Or are you back down south?

Hey Matt good to see ya again. I totally understand how life can throw you off track at times. Next thing you know weeks to months go by fast. Looking forward on seeing more of your project as it comes along.

The video documentation of this build is very exciting and so too is the progression.

Hey man thanks for the plug and link I appreciate it.

Gotten TONS of work done in the past couple of months, now that things have sort of settled down. The shell is now mounted on the chassis, and lately I've been working on prep work for the hood separation. I've been welding up a storm and fabricating all kinds of inner guts for the car. Really fun work, but messy as heck and very time consuming.
