Yeah, I'm doing a standard trunk latch and popping mechanism. Electronic popper and emergency cable. I ordered the same parts I have on my Subaru because I have "history" with those on my car

Nice Depending on the application they are the next step up from the 10-Series mufflers, Flowmasters' most aggressive sounding muffler that I know of. That deep rumble those 40's should produce will not only announce your rides' presence, it will command respect and awe before anybody even really see's the actual car. Seeing your bat will only compound that.

Im trying to decide whether i want The Super 10s or the 40 series from Flowmaster. I want a loud throaty sound but I know some mufflers can make a raspy sound when you throttle on the gas. I do not like the raspy/ rattling sound.
Seems I have a bat in my belfry

Try finding a couple video's on youtube of cars that have the same/similar engine as you but with the mufflers you are thinking of. That way it gives you a idea of what yours will eventually sound like. Other factors such as design and spacing may also dictate what you'll eventually install. For instance, the 89' I'm in the design process of will have Fords modular 5.0 block and, rather the typical rear axle, a fully independent suspension from a Ford MN-12 is to be utilized instead. With that I would not have the room to run a muffler the size of the 40 Series as it's too long. The 10 series would fit just right.
A preview to how it may sound: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bMgksMjbykw
engine is a 4.6 DOHC instead of the 5.0 but similar mechanical design.
