Yeah, I'm talking about ya! Can't help it.....this is exciting news!! Don't hold out on us, Jim! Got any pics of the main body mold? Gotta see it! George Barris & Tony Wood were saying the same thing, I guess...the newfound interest that has been generated for this car is outstanding! Tony says there is quite a buzz about it in CA. Have a safe trip, Jim...be seeing you soon....thanks again for everything, I cannot express enough what this means to me....just awesome -Matt

Awesome! This has been quite an interesting journey for you, haha.
So the taillights are just vertical strips kind of like the front blinkers, except mounted on the body rather than the bumpers?
I wish I had the money to start a replica with one of those kits. Someday...

I wish I had the money to start a replica with one of those kits. Someday... It really has been a long and interesting road...but all well worth it! The taillights do look mounted into the body. Anthony has some real great ideas for the tail/brakelight assembly. Start saving some $$, and start looking into buying a donor car. Since Jim is making full body kits, you aren't limited anymore to a 69-71 Mark III donor car. I would think any car with a 117" wheelbase would work. Jim would know better than I, tho. Once the kit is done, I'm sure he would answer any questions you may have. -Matt

I would assume it would be easiest to start with a Mark III though, right?

Meh. I've seen people murder classic '60s Gibson SGs and there were way less of those made than Mark IIIs by a long shot. Besides, it's better to regret doing it than regret not doing it.

well I'm back!! Tony & George are watching me? that's great!! hope they like what they see. I will have the molds finished this week, then I'll get them all cleaned and trimmed and get ya some pix!! The response to this new kit is amazing, people do really like that car. I didn't know if there would be much interest but thought it was worth a shot. The way the molds were made is the body is one piece with an inner hood & trunk channel, I even removed the winsheild and got the pinch welds in the molds. then we molded the door ends & qtr ends with the rocker panel. then made a hood & truck lid skin. so it's a complete kit that can be built on a lincoln or framed out like a batmobile. over the lincoln would be way easier!! I'll post pix soon. thanks for your interest.

Well the car we molded is a steel car, and as far as I can see the original mark 3 is under everthing!! the roof was chopped about 2" you could chop your roof or use our fiberglass roof or even cut ours off and drop the body over your lincoln and leave the roof, 2" really isn't much. and then you would have no problems with glass and sealing the windows. my freind greg is going to do that with the first one out of the molds. he wants this car bad, and plans to make it a daily driver!! if anyone has any question feel free to give me a call 631-722-5555 or post them and I'll answer them when I can.
