The something is just 1/4" body welt sort of like the pipeing on seats.  They used to use it all the time on old cars between the fenders and such.  heck Rusty you know that.  You can get it just about anywhere.  You can see where it is cut (wedge shapes) behind the glass (plexi/lexan).

Kevin want proof?  I have it....

hehehe we must have been posting at the same time.  Loser!

So I want to know how you know all of these FACTs about the car?  It's time for you to come clean and tell us who you really are.  John Evans Jr?

(I still have proof that Rusty is right)

Like I said there is no fiberglass lip. I did my glass in the same manner I placed a 1/4" rubber strip between the glass and fiber glass shell and countersunk screws around the window and glassed over it.

As far as there being a fiberglass lip around the window there isn't one, nothing more than a strip around the window. Like I have been saying right along.

What are you talking about?  We all know how the glass is installed.  This is about the CENTER TRACK.  You say your is like the real car.  Rusty says it rides on the hood not throught it.  Where the heck have you been the last 2 pages?

Here let me recap...

Rusty  --  the real car  rolls on the hood..

Rusty  --  i think the japan pics show that it rolls on the hood

Rusty  --  its deeper than ours ..the slit... look at the japan pics

Kevin  --  Answer me this if the center section isn't cut out where is this center bar going through?

Kevin  --  Looks like a hole to me!

Well Mr. Kevin ready for the proof that Rusty is correct?...again!

PS the reason some (like me) are adding the lip to the canopy is to use real DOD safety glass.  (maybe) I may just cut it off and do it like the real car....

What you are pointing at in the photos is the actual thickness of the fiberglass shell of the canopy. The canopy is made much thicker than the replicas. There is no inner lip that the glass sits in, only a seal to keep the water out. The lip you speak of is only a thicker made canopy. I can do the same affect by layering a thicker canopy using glass mat. If you look in any of the inner and outer canopy pictures you will notice that the canopy is much thicker than any of the replicas.

If you look at the inside glass you can see that it lays flat on the canopy….
