Jack, on the side mechanics: are talking about what onstar used to refer to as the "vebelfetzer valves" i.e. the metal stuff at the lower right and left of the car? Another need here might be a nice thick windsheild that sits right in place that is curve left to right and top to bottom. As opposed to bending a piece of lexan, and holding it in with fasteners. A thick windshield will really enhance the appearance of the car big time. First thing people will look at when they see it up close. The eyes of the car. What I would also propose is an enhanced canopy. the canopy would have a built-in ledge for the windsheild, and then the windshield would fit neatly and elegantly into place without rigging some fastener. This would also increase the stiffiness of the canopy, more ridgid, less wobbly. Winshield could be internally tinted, or not. Up for discussion.

Bob, I'm with you 100% on the window. I added a lip to my canopy and had hoped to use real glass. We talked at length about how you did the Forever windshield and I was very impressed with you technique. Once I get my canopy to fit correctly I will probably cast a new one, much like Kevin is planning on doing. See added lip below.
The side part I mentioned is this:

The added windshield lip is the way to go...at least for me!

I would not recommend adding a winshield lip, but rather taking a new casting of a canopy with with a windshield lip added. Reason is that by adding a lip, or new resin to your old you are not getting a chemical bond, but rather just a mechanical bond which could, come loose at some point. Any wobbling in the canopy could increase the chances of that new addition to come loose. Idealy, you want a canopy to come out of the mold with the lip ready to take the windshield. The windshield project and canopy should be done together, so you get a perfect fit of the windsheild. so to speak.
Ya, that's the area I thought. Um yea, I'd be up for that. I'd have to talk it over with Bob C. and check our priorities, and come up with a price. Obviously it will be 2 items as left and right. You want it sculpted to look real, and painted to look like metal that has seen a lot of intense heat.
