Spent this weekend finishing the defensive arrays.
Yeah, I didn't spend a lot of time putting on bondo and making it look nice. Sooory
Most of the effort was doing the underside that no one will probably notice anyway.
The tilt mechanism is 3/4 inch pvc pipe.
Gun Turret is done and now the defensive arrays, so this weekend I hope to install them on the car. Also would like to put in the helicopter anchors on the front and that should pretty much complete the front part of the car.

I hope so, yes.
I think I painted the defensive arrays the wrong color. They need to be the same color as the car which I think is a gun metal.

Found out my wife has other plans for me this weekend so I moved up the timetable for the car. Installed the defensive arrays and the turret on the car.
Painted the front part gunmetal. What do you think of the color? Does it look right? As I said before, the defensive arrays need to be painted to match, but the rest can stay black I think.
The rotator plates made the guns look too high so I left them out. The brake drum is too tall, but has a nice look to it and was a lot easier than fabricating my own.
A view from the drivers seat. (kinda) I need to crawl underneath and fasten the arrays on there. That's why you see those braces. Used them to set correct height.
Close look at the color.

Placed a copy of this post here for anyone that may be able to benefit from it planning to and/or physically building a Bat Vehicle.

"I had given up on the idea of milling foam parts from huge blocks of foam because it was too cost prohibitive. But after spidey4fun's post about a guy that was milling car parts from regular foam insulation I started rethinking that idea. Smaller blocks of foam could be milled separately and then assembled together! It doesn't have to be milled out of one huge block with a giant machine.
However, even small CNC machines are expensive. But there are some nice kits out there. I'm seriously considering this one. https://www.buildyourcnc.com/item/cnc-machine-blacktoe-v4-2x4."
Looked at the kit. Very nice for 4,000.oo Have you searched for used machines? Like, Torchmate, Routermate, etc. When I was researching them out I found 2 x 2 and 2 x 4 used Torchmate complete with computer on EBay for 5 and 7,000.00. Biggest problem with all these, and the kits too, is Z axis cutting depth. It usually falls just short of 6 inches. Once I get started on the physical building of my DOJ Batmobile I have plans to convert my 4 x 4 Torchmate by elevating it 2 feet above the bottom cabinet and switching out the automatic Z axis depth height control for a deep cutting Z axis some where in the range of 18-24 inches. Complete CNC foam cutting router tables are also sold online with a deep Z axis already installed. vertigo

hey sly,
Really like the way your build has progressed. Still don't have a word better than wicked to describe your build.
With the front weapons array I guess I can only say it looks really...really....really wicked with a bad attitude.
