It will be active. It rests on bearings. Below the spring will be a support pole to stop it from rotating and increase the contraction of the spring.

Understand, thank you。You are using a motor or your own custom engineered it? I only know of a 72V motor goldenmotor. I hope you can send if you can create btapod look after detailed drawings, let those of us who are not drawing as Batman can enjoy happiness. In fact, there are many problems, or to slowly see you with a new bar. Many thanks for your answer.

Had quick hospital visit for a gal bladder removal... I had a stone in it that was more the size of a ROCK!!! So I've not advanced much. Ken did some more welding the other night. Hopefully the frame will be one complete piece very shortly.

Housing for the main steering bearing.

Rear frame brace welded up.

Centre frame brace and suspension support rod.

Started on the frame again, this time with no twists!! Hopefully.

Centre Part of the frame is tacked together. Now to join the rear section ensuring the rear and front axle supports are parallel.

Hope you're feeling better!

Hey, those pics of making that rear-mid section of frame are awesome for shedding some light on a good way to build that. I will definitely be using that as a reference. Nice work, and thanks for sharing.

Getting ready to attach the rear. Firstly I needed to prop the bike up so all the angles of the frame match my drawing and rear/front axle supports and frame are level. I've just used blocks of wood and steel plate placed under various parts of the frame to get these angles. Also had to compensate for the fall in the floor. You pay good money for a shed and they cant even get the floor level!!

Next and most importantly, the wheel centers need to track one another. If they are out the bike will pull to one side. I've mounted a vertical laser to my lathe, positioned the bike to line up with the laser ensuring there is 218mm between front and rear wheel face plates or 109mm between both wheel face plates and the center line of the bike. Also, ensured the center part of the frame was lined up correctly in the process. I started by using some extruded aluminum pressed against the face plate of the motor, lined it up with the laser then worked my way forward.

Seems logical...

I'll think this through a few more times before Ken does the welding.....
