I trimmed down the main bearing housing support a little as it seemed a little too long. The axle through the bearings that supports the steering arm is 20mm.

Up on two wheels. It's very stable, which was a nice surprise.

For the parts I cant locate I'll just manufacture. Anybody else looking for a set of three? I'll CNC mill a master, make a mold and cast them up in resin.

We did a little more work on the front end. Added a few extra bits to allow the angle of the steering to be fully adjustable.

Also made these in resin. The first of many parts I'll be milling.

I thought I'd buy a left hand thread rod end so I can adjust the angle of the front end without pulling out a bolt and having to support the weight of the bike on blocks. Only issue was buying some left hand thread. Called around to 5 different bolt / fastening specially stores... no luck. So I thought I'd give it a try on the lathe. Wasn't difficult at all. Another new skill learnt!!

Left hand threads.

Here's the next project... CNC milling the front of the cover. It'll be the largest part I've milled using the rotary equipment. Here's the rough cutting tool path. Will take about 3hrs. After this I'll run a finish cut then seal it and make a silicon / fiber glass jacket to cover the part. Then the final process to cast a fiberglass cover

Here's the full cover, and a pic on the bike.

If this works correctly I'll mill the back half then look at the arm guards.

Milling worked but not as planned. Here's how it should have looked.

But it doesn't. To date I've only milled symmetrical items and failed to realize the rotary axis is running the reverse direction due to the planetary gearbox. So it actually looks like the mirror image of these pics, with the spring cover on the wrong side. Easy to fix, just check a box, but I'll need to do this one again. At least I'll some to experiment on for the next step. Nothing ventured, nothing gained!!

If anyone has advise on how the prep extruded blue foam I'd like to hear from you.
