Are you going to paint it or leave it silver?

I bought a flaming river column, and now just need some new rims and tires for the back and the air ride set up, and I should be done with parts for phase one.

Once it's back together and mounted on the frame, hood and trunk lift, car lifts,

canopy slides up and back, I will take it home to do the dash and electrical myself.  I think I need a big back yard with lots of space and they don't have those in Los angeles for under 2 million.  and then they say you can't have dead cars in your yard in gated communities!  There is more of my Dad in me than I want to admit, I like playing with broken cars!

Hey batfans,

I was at the World SciFi con with my 66 all week, and Eddie was working on finishing another "Mater" for Disney's "cars" movie.

I did hook up the guys that will do the air ride system with Eddie.

Now the bad news.  Several spots on my body are pretty thin, and in moving it around  the shop it has cracked.  So now I have to have Eddie bolt it together, and rent a truck, take it to a fiberglass place to chop gun the underside to thicken it up.  The roof (when it was cut in half) was almost an inch thick, but it was too thin on the sides so I would rather thick it up now than discover when I get to paint I should have done it now.

So another unexpected side trip.    The good part is hopefully when it is off the frame, I will be able to hook up the Air ride stuff so it is ready to go when it gets back from the glass shop.

Also I took a bunch of photos, but as I was at the Convention I haven't had the time to post them.   I will try to get some up today or tomorrow.

Nothing as fun as Rusty's video of a moving canopy, but it's progress anyway!

N
