cj58 (5/17/2014) thanks do u know where I can buy the batmobile car kits
I would recommend reading this and other associated links relating to this forum as there are both 'quality' and 'shoddy' kits out there and knowing what to look for in both materials and the manufacturing process can relieve you of a lot of headaches down the line
: http://www.chickslovethecar.com/board/Batmobile_Topic34251-21-1.aspx
Also, take a look at past and current builds and see where these individuals received their kits' and read about any issues/problems that had to be remedied during the build process/s. From there you can start narrowing your shopping list to a few providers. Another note is to be aware that the bodies (even from the most reputable of providers) are not 100% symmetrical and the case holds true for the actual 89' and it's lineage to the Ohrberg cars of which many of these kits originally derive.

Congrats on the body purchase! I was pondering building the tumbler or the 89 or both, but as my pockets not too deep I think I will build the 89 first. Found a 94 caprice classic for 3500.00
Sent an email to 89 maker on getting the 89 kit...waiting for the reply

Sorry I have not started a official build post yet (lazy, work). I built my crane hoist yesterday and it works great.
I have the stock frame & tires sitting inside the body in pic's.
Funny how stuff gets moved into the way when your doing somethings, lol -garage needs organization-
Don't see myself doing much next two weeks..
I will be getting my garden shed in 3-4weeks to get lawn mowers, motorcycle, stuff out of the way. I need to get bug sitting beside my Batcar (needs front clip welded on).
-Next step disassemble, sandblast parts & frame-

Congrats... now hurry up and get started so you can get further ahead than me. Just in case I want to borrow some of your ideas.. and when I say borrow I mean steal.... also you might want to add some kinda inner frame when lifting with the hoist. when I did mine the entire time it was in the air scared the crap out of me. so I added the second hoist to play it safe.. later

IDK but, that has to be one of the funniest quotes I read in a while, so thanks
As for this build, I too am waiting in anticipation to see it get underway.

Just a fast update: Yes I'm still around
After getting hoist built wife and I took two week vacation to Alaska. Returning back to work and found 12 hours days without a day off. Yesterday I hugged the car and sparked energy back into my brain.
Should start having weekends off within next couple weeks, can't wait for that...
Anyway still trying to found nice lofted garden shed. Need some stuff out of my way in garage.
I have lead to a nice tig/mig welder I need to upgrade for frame welding.
Plus little side tracked from minor water leak in my Stealth turbo..
