Finally made some notable progress on my Tumbler U bar.
Finished about 70 percent of the welding on this integrated assembly. vertigo

Thanks for the kind words bopenstein and sly,
Having to design the lower U-bar supports to allow for my Tumbler's extra weight.
Using colored Bunge cords to experiment with the layout. vertigo

Cut and welded enough to hold in place the 2” X 2” x ¼” wall tubing lower support assembly for
U-shaped upper shocks and actuators integrated frame assembly.

Worked on designing an upper U-bar double shock mounting bracket and created a wood pattern.

“I am, however, having issues locating the proper rims and/or someone
who can make the rims i need for the rear. I want 16.5x12's but i can
work with 17x12's. Seems they are going to have to be custom as i have
yet to locate any of those sizes as duallies. Any tips or links would
help a lot.”
There are no dually factory made steel wheels for 16.5 X 12.
The original movie Tumbler used 16.5 x 12 shell wheels with welded in
dually centers and no wheel adapters.
gez1967 acquired some of the original tires mounted on custom dually rims.
In this case his photo images are worth many thousand woods.
Look at his build in Tumbler build section titled: UK Batman Tumbler builder

In the past custom wheel companies have quoted these wheels between
1000-2000.00 each.
Judging from your building and welding skills I would imagine that you
could weld them up yourself.
PS: Your Tumbler build looks outstanding and your workmanship of excellent quality.

“I've only just started building mine so can't help with the wheels
but if I see anything I'll let you know I was going full size but am
gonna reduce it by 10%. I'm in Australia so I'd never get it road
registered but I need to make it a bit smaller so I can tow it on a
trailer to shows.”
If you wanted to stay full size, you could, just make the few pieces
that stick out to far removable, and remove the two outer tires for
transport. That is how they transported the movie Tumblers on roads
with 8’-6” maximal width limits. With these pieces and tires removed
the full-size Tumbler is 8-feet wide. My Tumbler build is full-sized,
mostly movie correct, and to convert to street legal (8’-6”) will have
bolt on modified pieces, and a switch out narrowed modified R&R rear
that will use the full-size tires.
PS: Over the years others have studied the idea of building the
Tumbler at reduced scales, mostly trying to achieve a street legal
version, but all gave up on the idea due to cabin restrictions. A good
way to experiment with this idea is to explore it using a 12” (1/6th
scale) GI Joe. If you put the GI Joe in the driver’s seat of the 1/6
Tumbler you will discover just how tight the cabin really is at full
scale. vertigo

Vertigo thanks for that. I did think I could just take the outside wheels off for transport. I really didn't want to reduce the size. Making a few removeable bits is a good idea I think I'll do that. Thanks again for your input
