i agree. i wish i could identify engines better. Honesly im curious if they bought an aftermarket engine, since someone spotted that the handles were aftermarket parts, and not from a donor bike. Does make me wonder.

In this picture you can see the engine sitting in the cradle, the cradle (basically created by two parallel plates of steel) connect via a tube, and the driveline is ran thru this tube, i assume.

Hey Shaggy on that Batpod pic could you remove the engine cradle panel. I'm sure the stuff is right under that panel...Thanks BWD

I always wondered if it was chain driven or if it had some type of drive shaft. From the looks of shaggys pics it looks like a hard tail....right?

Hey Max, usually the term hardtail refers to Harley Davidson motorcycles that have no rear suspension. Meaning there is not a more modern swing arm with spring/shock setup. The HD hardtails are similar to an old style bicycle and the only movement in the rear of the motorcycle would be the amount of air pressure in the tires. And a little movement in the traditional spoke wheel. Not only were the bumps of the road felt through the frame but handling was serverly compromised. The Batpod appears to have a more modern monoshock coi over shock system. There is a single shock that has a suspension coilover a shock absorber......I think that's what you meant....BWD

um, the batpod is a hard tail in that there is no rear suspension. It is chain driven, there was a clip from the special features posted here somewhere that showed it. The batpod in reality is a fairly simple machine. Remember for a movie the props don't need to be complicated just look complicated
"there ain't no bat!"

Yep, only one shock, one bend point for suspension, rest is all a solid frame. anyway, here is your rendering you asked for Dave.

Hehehee. Shaggy now that clearly shows the Batpod frame is connected with air....Its an air ride......Now Chilebean are you saying although the Batpod appears to be a monoshock design that it is not operational and it has no suspension? Rigid throughout the frame? Don my fabricator has suggested that I build the Battack that way because its not going to be a daily driver and its cheaper to build. I think it would not be that hard to make the Battack a monoshock and get some suspension. Then there could be some tuning of the suspension through the dampening of the shock or the switching of the coil. Oh yeah still no knowledge concerning the origin of the Batpod's engine.....BWD
