Would you believe i was a mindless zombie on the assembly line of KMA as of 3 years ago? (Kumi Manufacturing of America) assembling plastic interior parts for Honda Odessy's. Pick up a part, snap a piece to it, run it under a heat press, pull it off, write your # on it, put in container, repeat, repeat, repeat, 30 times every 1 minute, for 8 hours a day. I got tired of that, so now i sit behind a desk at a Budweiser distributor making signs all day, like these: All i do is change the price, the package, and the name of the store, and print. repeat, repeat, repeat, for 8 hours a day. Mind draining, isnt it. All set aside, never been an engineer, the idea of being one has always been intriguing to me. But im just to scared that im not good enough to be one. I've always wanted to be those guys in GM's design studio's that make the clay mock-ups of the cars before they are built, including the interiors. But i dont have a college education, barely a K-12 education, so that isnt enough to get me in the door. A member here did suggest that i put in an application in the engineering department of the company that he works at. And i was going to, but when i read all that you are required to know, i realized that "crap i know nothing of those things, and it would be bad of me to try to be something that i'm not" So i didnt apply . But i really wanted to do so for personal reasons. Maybe if something comes up that has a feild that I can fill fully, and correctly, i will. Thanks for the kind compliment! It push's me to keep going!

To give you an idea of how much i would like to get into that form of design, check out this drawing i did of my '72 camaro if it were to be put back on the production line today. (please excuse all the open gaps, lots of curves, and i'm still not good with curves)

No way man! You have some serious skills with drafting n stuff. I'm looking pretty seriously at mechanical engineering courses at my local community college. And as cheesy as it may sound Batman is the main reason why I want to do it. I cant begin to tell you guys how impressed I am by all the skill and camaraderie on this site. Looking at all the builds and problem solving that goes on here is so inspiring. sorry about the lifetime moment..... Ive started messing around with sheet metal for the ultimate purpose of building the tumbler, got a pretty decent plasma cutter to play with.

Hey Shaggy trust me the engineers I work with are far from intelligent. If anyone can do their job you can. You seem to have something they are lacking.... Common sense.

Hey Shaggy what kind of engine would you use for the Batpod? I've been trying to look up single cylinder engines and all i could find that looks like its worthy of the Batpod is a Ducati racing engine. Any thoughts?

what, this wouldnt work???? i'm kidding. Honestly i really havent given any thought as to what kind of engine would/could be used in the 'pod. I dont know much about motorcycles, so what engines would be possible are very limited to me. Whe someone meantions single cylinder small engine, there are but two things that come to mind. or... Obviously my arsenal of small motorcycles information is very small .

Haha I love dumb and dumber. So do you ever intend on making your own tumbler/batpod?

well the Tumbler is in the process of being (re)built, but in smaller scale of course. And the 'Pod, well lets just say it may not be that far away, like...within the year . after the storm took care of this, i had to rethink, and steel got my vote. farewell strategically-positioned-cardboard-utilized-unit

Beautiful as always. Why do you want to scale it down though? Just don't get caught driving it Another thing i noticed was on Doohees build there seems to be room on either side of the engine area.....
