The orthographs were drawn by me, they were modeled off the actual Pod, it was hard finding a flat side view so, all in all, i'd say the model is within 2-3 inches of the original.    The front arm is scaled to be 3" pipe, the rest is 5", 4", 2.5" and 1.5", i'd say those are respectable #'s for pipe used.

I've compared my model to other 3d models out there and there are all off in some way or another, either its sitting too low, or the front arm is too short, etc.   I feel that the might have not used ortho's to start with.

As per usual, Shaggy, I am astonished by your work. I have been off the grid for awhile (again) working on some very important projects (it was time to stop dicking around and actually set up my financial future; more details in about a week...), but I am thrilled to see guys like you taking this site to the next level!

I love your 3D work; you probably mentioned it, but what program are you using? I just got into 3D development a few weeks ago (for 2 of the important projects we are working on over here), and I am finding that it is not as intimidating as I had thought! I downloaded MakeHuman to work on some humanoid models, and in a few weeks, I am hoping to try object design (MakeHuman is primarily for bipedal humanoid designs). Again, great work!

Justin, im gonna make this short bc i've had myself a hard day, sorry . The program i am using is Google SketchUp, its free, and very easy to work with if i do say, you can install a plug in call physics and add movement to your creations, but i've only half mastered that so far. You can take it a step further and create short films with the camera movements as well like this....

Glad to see a post from ya, board sure does feel lonely without its regulars posting all the time I will make this bike available in the members area just as soon as i get every intricate detail finished in hopes that someone out there will use it to create their own bike.

I would really like to build the bike, the only thing is I have too many irons in the fire. But it will happen eventually.

Trust me Kevin, as much work as i have seen you doing, i wouldnt want to interrupt what you have going on .   But just like you i would like to build this bike as well, the only thing i want is a static display, a non running version that i could use as a "statue" so to speak.   My plans is to replicate all the demensions of pipe and flat steel out of PVC pipe and wood.   I know that doesnt sound sturdy, but i dont see it doing anything but sitting there bc thats all i want.

Wow man...your kicking ass with these SU models. It's not always the program that makes it...it's the one who uses the program so well like Shaggy. he took a free program and does fantastic work as far as i'm concerned...where other programs like maya costs thousands! Yeah yeah, render, keyframing, motion and physics engines aside...Google Sketch up is still pretty cool. I liked it before but now I'm just amazed at how awesome this Batpod looks.

...does it come in black?

Thanks guys for the kind comments, and thank you Conrad, i was just thinking yesterday, "man i havent heard/seen him in a while, i hope he's doing alright!"      I hope to finish up the framework today start on the armguards tomorrow, and begin template work before next week.

I did some work to the footrest today, i never noticed before that not only are the foot rest uneven from one another, the knee rest as well are offset.  The right leg is kicked out farther than the left to reach the brake assembly
