I think the Tumbler makes perfect sense in Nolan's Batman films. It makes much more sense that Bruce Wayne would use an experimental military vehicle that's already built, rather than try to convert a factory built car (that could be easily traced back to him), wasting time he could be using bringing down the mob.
What ever happens with regard to the third installment of the current Batman franchise, I hope the Tumbler is repaired, possibly alongside a second car.
Everyone loves the Tim Burton batmobile and artists tend to base their 'mobiles on it. Come on, that was twenty years ago! Move on, the Tumbler is now, it's where it's at.

No. The Keaton Mobile has stood the test of time. As for the Tumbler, it's sure as hell not the best Batmobile ever made, but it'd be nice to see it in a The Dark Knight Returns movie, but w/ more offensive features..

I like the Burton mobile, but I'd argue is quite of its time and just feel that it's not very inventive to be basing the batmobile in the forth coming Arkham Assylum game on it. That seems like a bit of creative corner cutting to me.

This car is completely ridiculous. He might as well have been driving around in a giant penis.
Like the film, it's garish, illogical and completely out of touch with the mood of Batman that had been established in the comic books and what people wanted at the time. Also the lack of cockpit and the holes in the body work makes it look unfinished.
If Clooney was being directed by Burton he would have been a good Batman. This was awful and illustrates exactly why the next Batman film was a new begining.

any of you catch the new batman cartoon< "batman, the brave and the bold"???? well the b'mobile in this one looks completely different from any i've ever seen, more to the point this b'car loks a lot like the keatonmobile. and batman?, heh, heh, well, he's voiced by deidrich bader, the man who voiced hoss delgado on "the grim adventures of billy and mandy".
you should at least catch one episode. oh, i almost forgot, the clock king he's german in "batman, the brave and the bold" one more thing he wears as his costume a suit simlar to the one he does in the original comics. and he attacks a theater, too!!!!!
