Where do I start? At the "request" of other members: Jack, Kevin, etc., I thought that I would start my own log. I am told that it really helps with the build process, as members can add advice or ideas during the build and I REALLY need all I can get.
Fair warning: I am also in the middle of a huge work contract and about to build my largest house to date soon…. The 89 may always be put on the back burner at times to get the job done- and pay the bills.

I have tried in the past to log many of my builds and it’s not easy. It was hard when I had a crew working in my shop, and taking pictures wasn't a big a priority. This time it’s all me in my garage, so I’ll try to cover as much as I can; doing it myself.

I am currently in the middle of gathering parts. I have found that if you try to do a build without all of the parts ready, fit and finish are the ultimate sacrifice. Therefore, I am collecting everything before I mate the shell to the chassis.
I won’t even pick up the shell until mid-late November, and still have to move the donor from out of state. My goal in the interim is to be ready to fit the parts immediately and have the scratch built stuff ready to assemble.
My long term goals are to finish the damn thing, so I can start on another 66.

I do have one thought/rule… I will help anyone who needs it, but refuse to give supplier information for anything until it becomes public. I think that DooHee, Justin, Tim, etc., have built a great forum and resource to help people out. Being included means a sense of responsibility to those who wish to keep anonymity. I will let new members (like myself) ask for those contacts and information from some of the “veteran members” for obvious reasons and let them make that decision. Nitro, Jack, Kevin, and everyone who are in a build have had the opportunity to help others out with caution for GOOD REASON. I want to help keep it that way.

Many pics of the parts have started…. now I have to sort them out and (computer illiterate) download, and try to “resize” them so they aren’t an annoying screen issue. Any help on this download thing would be great.

Rod

Congrats on your build log.

As for images, you can still upload the images without resizing. The images will be stretched out while they're being loaded but should resize to fit the screen once loading has finished.

Everyone loves pictures. But they also love hi-res ones.

DooHee is right, high res all the way! Bigger pictures mean more detail so we may see better what you've done.
And congrats on starting you build. I must admit as I go through the build logs I'm getting antsy to start a build myself. (my wife says I'm obsessed )

I got a few aircraft panels in the other day... I have started to find some dial and toggle switches. I can't use everything, as a few will be the originial style.

I'm trying to post the pics... can't get them to paste. Do I need to host them to a URL?

Just hit the Picture icon.  Browse your computer for the picture and hit Add Image.  Remember to hit Enter between pictures to give it a space.
