another bad one.

wavy...

too slow again. next time I'll make sure I can see better. So instead of crouching down on the ground and breaking by back, I'll raise the work and be more comfortable.

Getting better.

I found that the 6013 electrode works best for me. i believe it's 5/32 ad 12" long. Short but I have the most control with it. Happy with the work and the learning. Stick is noteasy to be neat with. not for me anyway. I know that strength is more important than looks, but i feel like some welds that "look" good, look very strong and well fused.

Hey man you really are starting to come along.  Way to go.  You are so going to love MIG over stick.

Hey one piece of advise.  I see you work area looks a lot like mine.  Have a really good Fire Extinguisher standing by.  I also keep a 5 gallon bucket of water with a towel sunk in it at the ready.... Better safe than sorry!!

Jack...i hate to sound like a suburbian rich teenage girl but....OMG you're sooooo right. I've been wanting to get a fire extinguisher, i just keep forgetting. I'm sure lighting up some of that exposed insulation will remind me quick huh? There is a hose hook up inside the garage...the people before me ran running water to the garage for a sink and bathroom. I do keep the hose handy...so thanks!!

and yeah BigWave, does the fabricator have more examples?

Hey Conrad I can definitely post some of those pictures if you don't mine on your build log. I know my pictures are kind of buried under my build log.

I agree with Jack probably had something to do with lighting up his garage hehehe...

Another humble suggestion In my garage I have a smoke alarm $14 and a Carbon monoxide alarm $10..... Cheap insurance for those smoldering embers....BWD
