| Close up of the speed holes they are plated at both sides and the speed holes are made up of Cadillac driveshaft. Full welds....BWD

| Hey Conrad I hope you don't mind me posting all this stuff on your build. I just love that welding. I asked the fabricator Don to flat black the frame and axles as we get done with each part I'm very concern with having something over the raw metal but yet still being able to see the welds....BWD

| Hey Conrad I don't think I've said it yet but I do think your frame is coming along great. Your doing a great job....You know you can add plating over the corners and structure to add a lot of strenght to you frame. Like building a house you have lateral cross bracing and then sheathing[plywood] for lateral strength. You have to determine whether you are going to place the sheeting under the frame like a skidplate but then bracing on the inside...BWD

Thanks Dave - that is exactly what i was thinking...but as time goes on my round tubing purchase gets closer. Don't get me wrong, I'm having a great time and learning alot about tacking, welding, grinding, cutting, angles and more while i'm doing my square floor - and while I'm reading and absorbing information from guys like yourself and your Metal Master, Don.
As far as that sheathing and lateral bracing - it is what I am thinking doing...I need to grind some weld globs down. boy that frame sure got heavy! much heavier from when it was just a square....always good to have 2 teenage boys for extra arms!
...does it come in black?

| 3 Step-sons. met my wife 10 years ago and the first thing she said to me was "I HAVE 3 KIDS!!!". She was a struggling single mother working 2 jobs on a downhill road. Just add Conrad...instant family. This weeding pic was in 2003
