Thanks for the add't photos. To bad this prop did not receive any care. I collect movie/ TV props and costumes and feel bad for this one. I would buy it in a heartbeat just to save it!! So if anyone has a contact, let me know!!!!!!

You could track down Charlie Moore in Tennessee - he owns the museums, although he just sold Guinness Records to Ripley's (they are buying up everything, but word is, they are keeping the museum open). The cockpit is in the Star Cars museum, but I doubt he would part with it. Never hurts to ask...

When I saw it a couple months ago it no longer had the large red emblem on the steering wheel or the rope lighting although the seat is trashed.

I remember when this was sold, it was sold at a Butterfield's auction back in the '90s.  The auction had this and the MTV Batmobile as well.  I can probably dig up the old auction catalog and scan the photos in and the text for the cars.  They had all the contract warnings in the auction book as well.

Prop collecting is fun, I have a couple Batman items, but not nearly as much as Back to the Future.  I have one Batman Returns stuntman emblem that I got from the Superman Museum back in 95 I believe it was.

The one cool thing I forgot to mention is with this studio process interior, they have a tv screen playing the scenes from the movie that were filmed with this exact interior.  I always get a kick comparing what is on screen to something that is used on film...  with cars changing hands and props odds and ends missing or getting damaged over the years, it sometimes is hard to match stuff up on screen.

I'm getting as bad as Jack when it comes to photos. The more the better. I'm glad to see the rope lights and that weird steering wheel removed. I am lucky to have several original props from all but the Clooney Batman. Sorry, but no Clooney stuff allowed in my collection.

Hey Lotus,

I'm glad you liked my work. I was getting SICK of that steering wheel and rope lighting and I begged Charlie to let me fix it while I was down there with the Ferrari stuff. Did you like my chairs and Magnum desk?

I've got an AHAB missle from XXX that I'm restoring and I'm taking it down there as soon as I drop off the 66. I'll take care of the 89 seat then dude.

hey BG your PM is full, I can not reply to your last PM so I will respond here. My museum "Americian Super Heroes Museum" was devoted to Superman and Batman. I have every original Superman costume starting with Kirk Alyns, 40's costume, both the color and B&W George Reeves costumes, all the way through and including many Smallville costume. I also have a Burt Ward costume. Some evil clown costumes, penguin rocket and headpiece, batdisk, prop money and hundreda of other pieces. My collection was the 2nd largest collection of Superman stuff on public display. It was located in downtown Indianapolis, but I closed it 12-31-07 to retire. I'm sure there are still some photos and stuff on the internet.
