Yeah, as soon as that music starts you just can't help but get excited...

Looks like there's no Adrian in this one.  I wonder if Tallia Shire wouldn't do it or if her character died or something (or both.)

I'm sorry.... I love Rocky. Hell... I drove 200 miles to go and meet Carl Weathers for thirty seconds of chat and a couple of autographs.

BUT.... After the Mountain that was Ivan Drago, probably the toughest pound for pound Rocky opponent ever. I think any fighter would need Balboa resistant Kryptonite to be considered a challenge against the stallion. Hell, in the weigh-in shots I have seen stallone looks in better shape than tarver.

Rocky was never about real world fighters, it was larger than life characters. Mason Dixon fits onto the Tommy Gun shelf. By that I mean never use a real fighter in a rocky movie, use actors with that "something." The lightning in a bottle, creed had it in spades, so did Lang, Drago was the silent otherworldly giant. He killed Apollo, He should have killed Rocky but somehow he didn't.

I kinda felt sorry for Tommy Gun. After Drago, we all knew that all Rocky needed was to be pushed to far to hand Tommy his ass. We knew it, hell all through the film we knew George Washington Duke knew it. The only thing that could beat Rocky even in this movie is old age. We know this. If he were in his prime, Mason Dixon would have been one of the fighters in the winning montage from the start of Rocky III. Just look at this pick to see what i mean.
