i can understand why i never ntoiced it, the whole car is mirrored so it not being on the driver side which for some reaosn i pay a lot more attention 2 i wouldent have thought to look on the other side. as i siad i dont think ill be adding it to my car, but its one of them things i dont really have to worry about becuase if i ever really do want to add it i can just add it without any body modfication other then drilling holes.

i love the Clown Trippers too, i iwant to add them to my car but i dont think ill be able to add them to the bm1, ill have to wait till i start building the bm2

I think it's just a gascap.
Probably the real gas cap as opposed to those that are on both side of the vehicles which I think are just for shows

I'm with KeatonCar. It looks a lot like a pressurized cap, like the ones used on aircraft. The passenger side gas cap was functional on the Returns #3 car.

KeatonCar what else do you know about the upcoming DVD?

Well, the circus gang were in Batman Returns and not Batman, so that particular effect shot will not be featured. However what we know so far is that Burton, Nicholson and Keaton have all recorded commentary for the DVD. Also there will be the original making of featurette from 1989, this will cover the car with interviews with production designer Anton Furst about bringing Gotham to life and the overall design of the Batmobile. It will also show how they made the afterburner for the car and how they were limited by the cars design and size.

Batman creator Bob Kane will be interviewed from the batcave set in london, and give his opinion on Burton, Keaton.... the usual stuff. There will be a new Batman retrospective about the film and it's worlwide impact with behind the scenes footage never before seen, new interviews with Burton, Keaton, Danny Elfman... maybe Nicholson, but don't hold your'e breath folks on this one.

Original storyboard scene comparison, original trailer, maybe a musical montage of Elfman's work on the film music video style. A screentest gallery and batsuit design gallery is under discussion. A merchandise featurette may also be included. Batman Begins trailer as well as trailers for the other Batman films, this may include the animated movies and trailers for the animated series boxsets.

I've been pointing out that DC Comics, Inc. was the patent holder for months, but it never seemed to sink in.

The gold bat symbol was also on at least one of the OnStar cars. I think they are on speaker grills.
I'll post a picture here when I get a chance, so check back to see if I've posted it yet.

Since we are on the topic "what is this?", no one has yet to answer my question. It's not on the batmobile but the civvy cars in Returns. If i had a pic i'd show you all, but here is a rendition of it:

(o==o==o)
^that light

look a little closer and the front of the civilian cars the next time you watch Returns and see if you can tell me what it is and what it is for.

Here is a picture of one of the civillian cars but I'm not sure what your question is.
