BATMAN BEYOND batarang
price range between 50.oo- 200.oo each (sometimes collected as a pair)
Batman Beyond (known as Batman of the Future in Latin America, Europe, Asia and Australia) is an American superhero animated television series developed by Bruce Timm, Paul Dini, and Alan Burnett and produced by Warner Bros. Animation in collaboration with DC Comics as a continuation of the Batman legacy. The series began airing on January 10, 1999, and ended its run on December 18, 2001. After 52 episodes spanning three seasons and one direct-to-video feature film, the series was put on hold for the Justice League animated series, despite the network having announced plans for a fourth season.
Depicting a teenaged Batman in a futuristic Gotham City under the tutelage of an elderly Bruce Wayne, Batman Beyond is set in the chronological future of the DC animated universe (despite being released before Static Shock, Justice League and Justice League Unlimited), and serves as a continuation of both Batman: The Animated Series and The New Batman Adventures.
Though the initial announcement of the series drew mixed reactions, Batman Beyond went on to receive critical acclaim and a cult following. The show is said to explore the darker side of many Batman projects, playing on key elements such as emotions, personal relations, fear of the unknown, as well as cyberpunk and sci-fi themes such as the issues and dilemmas of innovation and technological and scientific progress affecting society, and the psychology of the character of Bruce Wayne. As such, it was considerably darker than most other children's programs at the time, although producer Bruce Timm recalls it was conceived as a kid-friendly Batman cartoon. It is also the first Batman series to portray the hero as a teenager. IGN named the show 40th on their list of "Top 100 Animated TV Series." The premise of Batman Beyond has been used in various comic book stories published by DC Comics, including an ongoing series beginning in 2011.

I'm watching that series on Kiss right now. Just watched a second season episode where a guy accidently buries his partner in a toxic waste dump. The waste keeps his spirit alive as his body decomposes. He comes back for revenge after many years. Quite a graphic toon for a young crowd.

Batman '89 Batarang Prop Replica Arrives from NECA and It's Cheap
"NECA has created a new Batarang replica based on the projectiles thrown by Michael Keaton in Tim Burton's Batman. Featuring a design just like the one seen in the movie, the full-size replica is a must-have for Batman collectors. Best of all, the price of the Batarang is super affordable, as the Wal-Mart listing prices the item at $13.96"
"'Where does he get those wonderful toys?' Introducing NECA's first release from their DC Prop Replica line, the Batarang from the 1989 film, Batman," reads the Walmart listing. "Own one of the Dark Knight's most iconic tools in serving justice across Gotham City. The Batarang measures 13" long with articulated hinges and magnets, allowing it to open and close. Also included is a display base for exhibiting in your own personal Bat Cave."
NECA did a great job engineering this, first of all. The Batarang is 13 inches long and features multiple articulated hinges and magnets to hold it in place.
This would make an excellent scannable model to make a 3D file.
The file could then be 3D printed or machine from aluminum, etc. vertigo

Came across this 60cm wide sword display lighted case today and realized it/or a similar cheaper case would make an excellent batarang display case. In black of course.

British Safety Council Sword Display Cabinet
Over the past few years here at Exhibition Plinths we have been asked to make a number of Sword display cabinets, not only for swords awarded by the British Safety Council, but also Samurai swords that clients have collected and would like to store in a safe manner.
This month we have been building another sword display cabinet in our Somerset workshop.
Simple, seamless and elegant are 3 words that go with this beautiful display cabinet.
Fitted with LED up and downlights the sword is securely locked behind toughened safety glass and is held in place with a single piece of 10mm acrylic, giving a look that it is just floating in mid-air.
These come with fixings allowing it to fix securely to the wall and if you have access to all electrical connections, they can be kept behind the case so nothing is visible.
Sword Display Case
If you would like to commission a sword display cabinet like this please do use the contact us page to drop us a line, or all out sales team on 01934 708717. We may need to have the sword for a few days to make sure that it fits perfectly within the display case.
