Scored the 1995 Batman Forever batarang.
It was delivered on Friday.
For anyone planning to build a 1:1 Batarang collection based on the Batman movies this is the one that one needs to acquire first.
A year ago this would be the one most hard to obtain and the most expensive to obtain.
There are several one sided replicas and one poorly cast both side casting on the market. All are of poor quality and lack many movie correct details.
Only one replica would have been of good enough quality and I probably would have abandoned building this collection given the extreme price of this Batarang.

A Batman (Val Kilmer) Folded Utility Belt Batarang from the 1995
installment, Batman Forever. In the film, Batman (Val Kilmer) must battle Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) and The Riddler (Jim Carrey) with the help of an amorous psychologist Dr. Chase Meridian (Nicole Kidman) and a young circus acrobat Dick Grayson (Chris O'Donnell) who becomes his sidekick, Robin (Chris O’Donnell). This prop can be found at the very beginning of the film, on a table of gadgets for Batman’s utility belt. The item is made out of solid resin and is painted in a dark charcoal grey. The piece was designed to appear as a folded bat symbol, with a wing on each side. The wings attach to a centerpiece which has a grooved out top that tapers down to a point. In the middle of the centerpiece is a series of raised grooves that pose as rails. There is some wear on the paint, along
with a small chip at the end of one of the top wings, but remains in
good production used condition.

The timing for starting my 1:1 batarang collection was perfect.
Without this new release I would not have started my 1:1 batarang collection. This new one is much better than the 3,000.00 one.

ICONS Replicas/Timeless Collectibles was the first company in the
world to do a film replica. The Star Wars Darth Vader Saber was the
first one and made as good as possible at the time. They became famous
for extremely fine detail in their replicas. They made the 1997 Batman
and Robin, Batman batarang that was mounted in a synthetic ice
display. An outstanding piece of art. Icons was also the company
alleged to have taken in money for thousands of preorders, and then to
have declared bankruptcy without making the items. A lot of collectors
still have unkind words to say about them on line. I read one forum
that said they had reformed into another replica company but didn’t
list the name. Another forum said the new company was named Master
Replicas and that they are still making replicas.

ICONS BATMAN BATARANG LIMITED EDITION PROP REPLICA
As seen in the movie "BATMAN & ROBIN", made by the now defunct company
ICONS. This Batman's Batarang authentic replica is a precise
reproduction of an original Batarang used in filming Batman & Robin. A
master mold was taken directly off an original used by actor George
Clooney in his role as Batman, the Dark Knight of Gotham City. Spun
cast in zinc metal and chrome plated, each Batarang is hand assembled
under the direct supervision of film and television special effects
artisans in the U.S.A. The black Plexiglas
display base features a Mr. Freeze influenced blue ice background, the
whole display can be hang to the wall with the wall mount system at
the back of the display case. An edition of only 500 units were
created for Warner Brothers Studio stores back in 1997. It is believed that Icons never made the full run
of this Batman Batarang before they closed their door forever.
