I don't have a picture of the rear of Dan's car, but I will try to get one this next weekend when I go by there.

Rusty, are you talking about this section? Because that sure doesn't look very long. Or is it a different section you are referring to? I am not very good at this whole "details" thing... Help me out here!

Of course, depth perception is difficult in photos... Do you have a picture from the actual bodies to show the differences? Perhaps that would be easier since then we could have some actual reference points in the pics.

ok here's the bottom of the tunica bat you see the hole in the frame right where the tips are welded on(the end of the body too) now find the same hole on the no. 1 picture and all the older caprice have these on both sides top and bottom.. now if thats the end of the replicas body you can see how much would be sticking out

A) I told you if I make it out there this weekend I will get you some pics. B) I looked on my website, but I can't seem to find the pictures of the frame you were referring to. Sometimes my computer acts all screwy though with the flash albums - was it in Dan's 1st or 2nd visit album? Which picture are you referring to? I could not find any straight on from the rear.

Jack - do you have any pics of the rear of your car? (besides the one you just posted) I am not good at the whole "details" thing, so perhaps you are better suited to see what is going on here!

I also believe Mark was going to post some pictures to illustrate the differences? Mark - can you clear all this up with your pics?

I just looked at several trunk shots from different cars including mine and that just seems to be the angle of the photo.

RE: 89 vs 92

Could be, but I'm not convinced it's not just the different angles. The area just before the exhause levels out some so will look shorter at lower angles...

RE: 89 vs 92

Here is a better way to illustrate it. Both yellow lines are the same length yet it appears that the louvers on the left are closer to the exhaust then the louvers on the right. Perspective angle makes a big difference... The yellow line on the right even looks shorter but that is an optical illusion. go ahead and measure it on your screen. Your eye automatically makes it appear shorter because of perspective.

Here is an example of that...
