RE: 89 vs 92

Am I missing something? It's a Returns car and it's as wide or wider than the #1 and #2 cars. So Have we note decided that the "screen used" cars are the same and are wider than the "replica" cars? Oh yeah and now 2 weekends have past and no pix from Mark......Oh well.

Well Mark you have less than 24 hours to post the pix on this forum. Rusty I still don't see what you are talking about.

RE: 89 vs 92

The line in this photo near is not the edge of the fender, it's the reflection of the white pole next too it and a couple of lights. It does make it look like a edge...

The "body line" is on all of the cars including the Hot Wheels 1:18. I always thought that line was weird.

RE: 89 vs 92

Rusty I think you lost me. What is your point? We know that the "Replicas" are narrower in the rear quarters. That would explain the narrower tires. The car in thw wherehouse is the Returns Turn table car and looks as wide if not wider than the 89/Onstar car pictures. So I'm lost are you saying that the wherehouse car is smaller/larger than what? If anything I think it all proves that the 89 and the 92 are all the same and the only difference is with the replicas not the screen used cars.

RE: 89 vs 92

im saying i know that the real no. 1 and 2 was used in the returns movie but i think jay build more for the movie...i think he pulled molds off the no.1 then cut the molds down and thats where are cars came from..and the tape marks came from..and like i said what about the one kevin and you looked at that suppost to be a real one that has small tires on it..i think its a jay smaller car

RE: 89 vs 92

It is a smaller Jay car like all the ones WB contracted and sold. Like the one you took pictures and posted a long time ago. I think we all believe that the cars that were sold by WB to privet collectors and Six Flags were all smaller. I think you pointed out it was probably to fit a trailer or to make it street legal since anything over 8 foot would require a "Wide Load" permit. Also all of the ones that were sold had the same number and I don’t think any of us think any of them were screen used. Well the owners think they were.

RE: 89 vs 92

So I guess you can call ours a 92 if you want to but I would just say it's a modified 89. And unless Mark comes up with something then I think we are all saying that the "movie" cars the 89 and 92 the Batman and the Batman Returns are all the same. I guess you could call ours a Jay car or who knows who actually did the modification. Why don't you call Jay and ask him?
