It would run through the transmission hump. They do sell a jet engine for an ultralight.

Would the exhaust duct go through the cockpit and is it possible to have a actual mini jet engine installed into it?
Harris Naseem on 3/30/2008 2:04:18 PM
the 89 version of the batmobile uses a turbo shaft jet engine. the there is two turbines at least. One for thrust and the second for power. The second turbine is hooked to a shaft that has a speed reduction gearbox and thus then strapped to a trans mission. chrysler made some back in the mid fiftys. web sight is

How does the engine work on the car? If its a turbine jet engine and if the Compressors are in the front of the car how does the compressed air reach the turbine blades in the back since the cocpit is right between them. And it cant be from under the cockpit because it will lose a lot of power.

a turbine would just not be practical.

"How does it works? Does the jet burned air gives the movement or the turbine was connected with the trasmission?"

now does any batmobile ever actually have a turbine engine in it? is it $2million?
Mooch on 9/26/2005 7:52:32 PM
because fuel consumption of those things is measured in tonnes per hour. Not miles to the gallon.
