Hey stevo,

Your research logic and project creativity seems to be progressing quite nicely.

You mentioned on vertigo build: "I think it might help a little more if the pics were imbedded next to the text to make it a little easier to scan the build for reference vs the attachments that need to be logged in and clicked on where it launches a separate page without the accompanying text (I'm a lurker so I'm not always able to login and see progress until I get home.) Just my 2 cents."

Can you explain how you are imbedding pics next to text. Are you just cutting and pasting the pics into your posting text? vertigo

Initially the site let you upload photos I'm guessing they stopped due to limited disk space as the images didn't seem to have any limitations on size or quality and this site is loaded with a lot of content. After that I setup a free photo bucket account on the photo bucket website. You can create folders and organize your photos. You can then upload your photos to the account. It will give you an html link at the bottom of each picture posted that you can just copy and paste into your forum posts on cltc.com. Its not to bad of a process.

Hey stevo,

On your post 11-3-2014 showing computer screens I remember you saying the screens were touch screens and I assume the red button is for on/off power. What functions do the other buttons perform in the movies and on your design as well?

I'm not entirely certain the displays were touch screen in the "fictional tumbler" interior that was portrayed by the movie. I say this because the interface isn't touch friendly do to the size and amount of information in the graphics. I would presume the buttons were used for navigating menu options on the displays as it is quick and simple from a tactical stand point. I chose to use a touch screen at least for the flip up center console to make it easier to deal with the underlying computer and better bridge the gap between reality and the movie tumbler and save on space. I do plan on making the surround buttons functional to display different pieces of information or even change the screen to show rear cameras etc. The other larger display that sits in the center of the dash will likely be connected to the tablet/pc as a secondary display that will mirror or show additional information.

Sorry has been a while since I have been on here. Had a kid a while back and progressed has slowed. I did find something interesting the other day. I'm not entirely certain the displays as a whole were custom built. I was watching a documentary of sorts and saw very similar displays inside of a helicopter of all things. The display looked Identical to the one inside of the tumbler. I'm working to see if I can track one down vs custom building one.
