Lets see some speculation about what the Batman may be driving in the upcoming movie. I'm guessing it will be an original design like the '89 and the Tumbler before it. I'm guessing the most influence will come from the Arkham game...which I kinda like. (Who am I kidding, I like them all except B&R!) I'm a little worried there won't be a Batmobile and he'll just get around in a BatJet. NLB7928

I'm sort of anxious to know myself now that you mention it. Unless someone has some inside intel I guess we're going to have to wait and find out. Interestingly enough -this was also mentioned on a different thread- was the tropic of
Ben Affleck having been cast as 'Batman'. On hearing the announcement many fans were like,
'Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Why!?!?!?!?'
That's not the interesting part. What is is the repetition of history. Fan reaction was the same when Michael Keaton's name was announced, that was until audiences witnessed Keaton's portrayal of Bruce Wayne/Batman. Maybe the same will hold true for Ben Affleck. Just like the new Batmobile we're just going to have to wait.

The front end of it is reminiscent of the TAS Batmobile.

I like that look and it would do a good "shields" version but I would be annoyed if the front wasn't changed to allow for visibility. (The way I see that is the front wheel arches are about three quarters up the height of the windscreen making straight ahead vision impossible).
Perhaps there won't be a batmobile but a bike or jet instead??? Or something like "the bat" from tdkr, that would probably be more adaptable to story lines. I guess it depends on how far from reality they want to go.

You would be surprised on the visibility.. the 89 is very similar.. the nose of the car is higher than the bottom of the windshield

Long as your view is unabated/unobstructed than the minute difference in elevation between nose and windscreen is but a mute point. Especially considering -I'm estimating here- that the top of the dash is at or almost at eye level on the 89'.
The rendering here depicts the front end as being a significant amount higher at the front end in relation to the windscreen.

Back in October it was reported that the new Batman vs. Superman Batmobile will be built by GM. Rumored is it will be modeled after a Cadillac, perhaps even an old 1943 convertible. Batman on Film’s source “Dr. Detroit” recently provided another update about Batman’s new ride:
I was informed that the Batmobile is actually being designed and built in Warren, Michigan at GM’s famed ‘Studio X’ – the auto industry’s equivalent of Fort Knox. Or the first rule of FIGHT CLUB…
The Batmobile will then be finished at the GM Advanced Design Studio in North Hollywood by February. I believe this is where the car will be tested and stunt drivers trained before the car is transported back to Detroit for filming.
Personally I'd like to see a hybrid based on the new Cadillac ELR but with a micro turbine up-front as the range extender and a jet-afterburner set-up out the back. They should bring in Ron Patrick as a technical adviser. http://www.ronpatrickstuff.com/ They should use the windshield from the Aerovette concept car from the 70's. It has a cool "V" shape, perfect for a Batmobile.
