hard to believe i stayed gone so long,
jack, hows my baby, is she still safe?

as for me a lot has change and i wont go into the whole back ground story but i live in CA now, but the nice thing about my house out here is i have a nice 30x50 foot shop on the property, which i think im finally ready to go full scale build. im just deciding on how i want to go about it. most likly just a upgraded way i did the 1/4th build. except i do a lot more metal work now, so i might go metal body instead of messing with fiberglass.

Welcome back

I'm not sure but I think Jack still has your baby under wraps - along with all his other toys

Jack pops in now and again so he still frequents the site. Others such as Dee and Justin haven't been on much since you left. Some of us old timers are still around and lots of new guys have contributed. Check out the build logs and older posts to see what you've missed, including some contributions from Andy Smith (the original 89 and Tumbler builder)

Full scale build sounds good - not sure about metal tho. Too many curves and easier to get dents and dings? Keep us posted

Welcome back. And you also kept your old avatar from 2004.

Looks like everyone from decade ago are accounted for except for KeatonCar who's gone missing after I chatted with him few times on PSN in 2008.

thanks yall.

yea i was a little shocked when i log on, and found out my account was still here, just as i left it, it was a nice feeling, lol.

yea i started to look at some of the build logs, saw a lot of nice work, still have a lot more to look at,

i was tossing a few cars on my list to be the third car in my shop, i have my first car, which is a firebird ill convert into kitt, i have my ecto MM which i work on slowly, but both those are time consuming in finding some parts, so i wanted a simple project, which i looked at a few options, things like a JP jeep, a Karmann Ghia, the mach 5, or the batmobile, and while the batmobile is far form simple project, by simple i just ment a project i dident have to spend hours trying to source parts for, that i could make almost everything in my shop. the batmobile seamed like the best choice.

i thought about buying a fiberglass shell, and if i could find one for a steal its still a option but im thinking ill just build it from scratch, which what i learned from the 1/4th test model, this go round even though its larger will be easyer.

now the question of why im thinking metal instead of fiberglass. if i scratch build it, i really, really done want to go though the process of fine tuning the master and molding it, then pulling cast, that will all take up a lot more room then i want. yet i can do a ribcage frame, and form the metal over it. i dont forsee dents being that big of a issue, or the forming of most parts, what does worry me is the weight,

plus i know ive been gone for awhile, so i may be wrong, but i dont think a metal 89 has been done yet has it?

A metal Keaton has not been done .... And the fact is it's almost impossible to get a kit now after the lawsuits .

Can't wait to follow your build. If you need any help with your kitt builds let me know done two so far and finishing season 4 convertible soon always willing to help.

see the lawsuit was something i somehow completely missed all together, but that was a interesting read, and a shocking ruling,

but yet another reason for me to attempt all metal, no molds at all, lol.

sg1star ,

Would you do me the honor and maybe post whatever photos you may have of your 1/4th build. I still look back on that as what really got me inspired to start my miniature model. Ive searched CLTC, but it seems all I can come across is a photo of the trunk lid.

Thanks, and welcome back! I was hoping you would come back around.

took me awhile to find them, but i did it,
then it took me awhile to figure out the best way to post them,

i decided to upload the old site page, for the majority of the pictures
about 285 photos http://www.freekygeeky.net/batmobile/batmobile1.html

i think my computer crashed at one point so i lost a lot of the pictures that did not make it to the website, or they did make it and i never backed up the files (my old website hosting company disapared in some of the time i was gone from moving out to ca and getting our new house.)

but a few i found as recovered files are
Batmobile
Batmobile
Batmobile
Batmobile
Batmobile
Batmobile
Batmobile
Batmobile
Batmobile

then i wanna say these 3 are pics from when i decided to let her go
