Hi,  I have owned a bunch of different kind of bikes over the years.  I watched the you tube video of the parker brothers bad pod.  From the video I saw it sounded like it had a harley or maybe a buel which is still a Harley engine.    I had a chopper with a TP 124 cubic motor and I had PY crack pipes on it.  I loved the sound of it and I love the sound of most harley type bikes.  So yeah seeing a batpod that sounds like a harley chopper is great, but wouldn't a sport bike motor be more realistic to the movie.

You guys that are working on Bat Pods what are planning on running for a engine?

I just realized the Batpod you tube video that I watched was not a Parker Brothers Bat Pod, it was a shop called Chopper City that made it

The real BatPod has a Honda 450 dirt bike motor with electric start. The 650 will also fit.

Mark just used a Kawasaki dirt bike motor on a recent build. You need a single cylinder engine with the sprocket on the left side. Harley wont work the sprocket is on the wrong side.

Any idea about the specs with the 450? 650?
Wondering for my own build, I thought it had to be right side?

No it's a left side drive on the real BatPods, standard specs on the Honda Dirt bike motor.
