Hi Guys,
I'm Fox, I'm from Melbourne Australia. I've decided I'm going to build my own Batpod. Dad's into cars, we've got a cobra, Daytona and a few Jensens, so thus, have access to all tools and such, and through his friends, a plasma cutter, lathe etc. What I need, are plans, are there any floating around? Or can anyone help me draw some up?

Thankyou,
Foxhound.

Hi Fox,

Welcome to the forum. I don't think anyone has plans with measurements and thicknesses etc that are free or for sale. That tends to allow for responsibility if something goes wrong. You will find all sorts of drawings in 2d and 3d, pictures of the vehicles from all angles and people's modifications for their ne

Being a fellow Aussie, what you need depends largely on where you want to use it. Off road is no problems, on road is a big list of problems. Most of the builders on here are American and seem to have a lot of leeway in the regulations for road use. Here in SA, if you're planning a car with a custom chassis you need to submit a full set of engineered plans to motor reg with a time line of completion. It has to comply in theory with the same regs as any other new car. Once you get "approval in principal" then you start building exactly as per plans and engineer has to assess the build at certain stages. Anyway you get the idea. Not sure about custom motorbike and of course Vic rules would be different. So the point being you need to work out where your driving and if on road then the first stop is vicroads to see exactly what you need to do.

Good luck
Shane
