i would like to know the history of this kit, where it originated, who sculpted it, what was the purpose behind it, etc. Its such a mystery.

My thought is that it is probably a body for a sprint car or midget racer. First thought I had, was to make it a rear engine air cooled car. Maybe use an old veedub engine and transaxle. Would make a great parade car!

Thought about this one for over 3 hours. Decided, I'm going for this one even if I have to sell my Hot Toys 1/6th to get it

Any other UK bidders please stay away

Seller says that the molds were for "promotional cars built for the returns movie"? He has the molds but is not producing anymore shells for the near future. I cannot afford his 'buy it now price' but cannot afford to let this one pass either

Time to sweet talk my lovely wife and see

Wish me luck!

No need to sell the 1/6th. I'll just take it off your hands as a Finder's Fee.

Looks llike I finally have a shell to be picked up next week

Time to do some research on what and how to modify this to fit!!!

Had a great idea for getting this one on the road in the UK, that I'm keeping under wraps for now

Finders fee DH? I remember these shells going for over £1500 on Ebay a while ago now. Most went to Sweden and Europe. I recall thinking these were too expensive for a 'go cart' shell at the time. There are posts around here somewhere (maybe archives?).

BTW: Try finding Mick Dunleavey or some 1/2 scale side-mechanics and I'll consider the finders fee
