I run into a challenge here, please let me know if you had/have the same issue

The driver-side front tire/wheel fits too tight in relation to the fender, i have cut the fende a bit but still not enought room for the tire to swing fully when steering to the left, photo below.

Seems that I'd have to cut the fender a lot in order for the wheel to fully swing in all directions, on the right-front wheel I dont have this issue, actually it fits quite ample

Let me know your thougts, experiences

Thanks, regards

Thank you sir
One good turn deserves another.....which doesn't seem to apply to your problem.

How's the alignment on the rear tires? Is the body favouring one side or the other.

When I visited Tim(Batberry) he told me to expect the body not to fit right that nothing is square.

You said there was ample space on the other side maybe you need to steal some of that space for the other side. But you would have to remount your body. Or remake the fenders. Both ideas suck or even suckier would be to get slightly narrower rims. Your rims are great by the way did I mention they are the same as mine. Don't change the rims keep the rims remount the body how hard can it be?

Ok someone give this man some real help I'm just trying to raise his spirits so he doesn't throw the car out and try to build a functional X-wing......

Later

Good luck

Mine doesn't have issue with turning the wheels from side to side, but it does have a general issue where the curvature at the front doesn't quite clear the diameter of the tire. This means you don't get the proper air bag suspension travel without rubbing.

From looking at mine, I'll just need to re-angle some of the fiberglass on the inside of the wheel arch and it should be good. Each corner is "slightly" off. I'll likely re-shape each of them when I get to the body work to make them perfect on each corner.

What Tim said I just recently got my shell aligned on the chassis, and noticed the same issue with the drivers side front wheel. I'll just need to re-sculpt that opening, or shift it forward a little bit. Just standard fiberglass body work.

Build looks great so far, by the way! awesome work!

Well, on the wheel/tire issue I finally gave in and order a new one just for the driver's side, this is 8.5" wide instead of the 10" wide i currently have, otherwise I'd have to trim the fender lip too much beyond aestetic liberty....

On the positive side, weather and business travel getting better so I got time last weekend to remove the hood and start assembling the list of parts needed for the last phase to make this badboy move, all the mechanical stuff

I ordered this the airride pod today, 5 gallon, unfortunately this gives me just enouht space for a 3 gallong fuel tank...as I dont want to put the tank on the cockpit or elsewhere...at 8 miles per gallon thats a short drive...

You could notch the fiberglass so they are flush with the surface and epoxy them in?...BWD
