Turns out he lives about an hour away from me... I still need to track him down and get talking. Some of my friends have seen it in person now

I was so close.. I missed him by about 30min... I had a friend that spotted him at a car show today and I tried to get there in time but I was just too late

I'd like to know how they got away with Lexan instead of safety glass in the windshield.. by law in Ontario you need safety class and they have Ontario plates 
As an ex-auto mechanic, and one who used to write Safety certificates in Ontario,
I could give you an immense list of all the reasons why this car would not be road "legal".
Wiper Blades, windshield washers, Side view Mirror, rear view mirror*,
and heated front Glass air (defroster)...just to name a few!
...but lets face it, if you write your own Safeties or know someone who does,
it isn't hard to get one written!
I put a Dune Buggy on the road many years ago, that lacked a considerable number
of "Safety" items...in other words, it was far from Road Legal!
But thats what Hot Rodding is all about!
*yes, technically you need a rear view mirror even if the rear view is blocked.
Can't tell you how many irate panel van owners I had to deal with!
You could order a Chevy Van with no windows in the rear doors but it still came with a mirror.
And it had to be there to re-certify the vehicle!
