HOLY COW!!!!  Thats.....just wrong.   Have they said anything as to why its in the condition that its in?   Have they offered to purchase the bike back for what you paid?

Wow, I am floored by this whole post. This company (Owens Export) is making this out to be way different than it really is. They purchased a Batpod from us... yes. But what they failed to mention was that they sent a representative out to look at and photograph this (display bike) before the sale was finalized. This was our first attempt at a Batpod (the same one displayed in SD Parker's Batpod build log on CLTC) and we explained that this bike had been at multiple shows, events and so forth and that the condition was not 100%. Please understand that they got this bike knowing full well what it looked like. If they didn't want to buy it, they didn't have to. Our welders are indeed certified, however, abuse from so much exposure will take its toll and it has been repaired numerous times. Surface rust is common where we work and we would normally powder coat the frame but this bike was built for us as a show only piece, basically like a prop for a movie would be. Showing this bike from a display standpoint will garner plenty of attention as it looks great when it is staged. But for this company to take detailed close up pictures after beating it up crating it across country and blaming us for its condition is insane. (Call the insurance carrier who shipped it) We were told that this bike would be a "display only" piece and we need not worry about its functionality other than for display (It was on display at a local art museum when they came out to look at it). Worst of all, saying that we ignored them is just plain nonsense. I will say it clearly now... Send it back and get your money back RIGHT NOW... We will gladly take it back, repair it, or whatever but don't use this forum to lie about what happened. Kevin from CLTC recently got a Batpod roller from us and I am sure he would be happy to show the quality of the build. We are not perfect by any stretch but we do have integrity. Anyone can feel free to stop by our shop or call (321)775-0460 to reach us if anyone ever has a problem. There will always be someone out there to try and discredit you, but we are not afraid to lay it all on the line and fight back.

Wow, now I am floored...... Jeff, as usual nothing that you have told us has turned out to be true.

We were to purchase a bike BUILT to order for us... I have the contract that you signed saying so. It was to be a running machine, not a display piece.
You attempted to mislead us by sending photos during our "Build" that really turned out to be a machine you built over one year ago. Now by posting this response, you have just caught yourself in your own lie.

Here is the email you sent us:

From: Jeff Halverson [mailto:parkerbroschoppers@gmail.com]

Sent: Wednesday, December 29, 2010 10:22 AM

To: Owens-Export

Subject: Re: New Format

Got your signed contract in today, we have all of the metal ordered

for your bike and tires will be ordered Monday when they reopen from

the holiday. Also we will be ordering the motor as soon as the next

draw comes in.  I think your draw schedule is set up bi weekly. Please

double check your contract and let me know.

 Jeff

When we came to inspect the bike, You entered OUR machine in some show without
asking us or even letting us know. We were not able to inspect it at your shop
as promised. You PROMISED our representive that you would "Take care of
everything" that he noticed while inpsecting it at that venue. It turns out you
did nothing, just shoved it in the box and shipped it.

I did not post these photos to bash you and dont want to make this into a public pissing match.
We called you and expressed our displeasure, you did nothing.
I called Marc the owner and expressed my concerns about what we received, he asked for me to send photos - I did and he never responded.

We are not going to send the bike back, I asked Marc if he was proud of what he sent to us and he said yes. So now you get to stand behind it.

We are not out to gain anything from these postings other than to show other members what we got from you for the money we paid. If other people have bought products from
you and are satisfied, I am happy you took care of them.

Dont bother calling us, I would rather not talk about it anymore. Our customer is taking
it the way it is and we will show more about that in the future.

If anyone needs more info, send me a PM and I will contact you off this board out of
respect to Parker Brothers.
