I bought Timb's 89 a few months ago. Thank you again for everthing.

At first sight I could tell It was in need for a serious overhaul and a lot of body work. Once I got it on the lift, I was shocked as to how much rust it had aquired. The entire chassis was crumbling apart. I half expected it to fall out of the body.

For the last month or so I have been cutting the chassis from the body. After carefull consideration I have desided that the opel chassis is useless and parts for it is so rare. In its place I am putting a 300 z chassis. I had a extra one sitting around that was in good shape. I will be putting in a Ls6 motor out of a zo6 to bring it to about 400+hp .
I have chosen to make mine battle damaged because to my knowledge no one has has attempted this. Also I will have fun shooting at it before mouting it to the body.
i will post pic later of my progress so far. Thank again timb.

Bad shape or not, i gotta say, especially from the back end, that is one good looking replica!

Rough around the edges, sure! But damn, I am always so impressed by that particular replica... It proved that you didn't need to start with a kit, to make a great Batmobile! I am glad it is in the hands of somebody who likes taking pictures... We LOVE pictures!

I will take more pictures when we start the body work because I need alot of advice on what needs to be fixed. First, I am going to raise the front wheels into the wheelwell and round the hoods edges. I bought a richmans r/c so I use that to mock.

Instead of going with the exact interior, I am updating it with a carpc. The one I ordered is a double din touchscreen ,it has, gps, 4 rear view camera inputs, mobile internet, a police scanner, and can control all mechanical inputs. I will still have the original switches but more as manual overides in case the pc goes down.

I also plan to take it to the gumball 3000 next year.

My primary residence is in Simi valley, California. I have a shop 20+ miles outside of dallas, tx, where the 89 and mach 6 is.
