I think you have to have a degree in stupid to be a reporter....    Is that the same guy who thought he had a wide body kit?  The same kit that was shipped overseas in pieces?

So roughly $300,000 USD for a car with no lights, etc....  Humm Maybe the prices around here should be higher....

great find Rusty

that video makes me want to cry. i don't meen tears of joy, i just want to cry. after 1400 man hours and $300,000 ish dollars they should have gotten the details a little better. side mechanics were a joke rear exhaust was way the f@*k off and what about the side intakes. the worst part of all is when they said it was modeled after the Batman Forever car. be nice if people could get the facts and details right, but i guess stupid is as stupid does.

Check this out.

http://www.metro.co.uk/weird/article.html?in_article_id=276531&in_page_id=%202&in_a_source=

"It took 500 man hours to paint and needed 50 tins of body filler, said maker Z Cars."

And that's what you get when you don't buy a quality kit....

I feel their pain...

Ive seen the UK ebay listing for the kit before I found this link. The bloke goes by the ebay handle lg1066 and was selling a rough looking body for a BIN of £15000 (pounds sterling). From the youtube clip the workshop is the same as the picture in the ebay listing. (sorry the ebay listing is no longer active so I cant post it here)

As far as I know they only advertised the body once and it didn't sell, I left their details in my favorite seller and they havent listed again.

I have a lot of mates into classic Mini's, and Z cars (the company that built it) are well known and respected for motorcycles engine conversions for the classic mini. Pity they didn't do a better job with this 89 replica.

For £140000 I could probably build one from scratch and get it a lot closer. The hood line just makes it look cr?p

I will definatly be back
