| This is just what I have been talking about, my car is blown and full of air bubbles and dead pockets. I have been fixing these all over my car and I see no end in sight. Blown cars are blown with a chopper gun and then quickley rolled out with a roller on a pole. It's all about quantity not quality, mass production is what blown is all about. Chopper guns cut a rope glass and mixes it with resin. If not properly sprayed you can result with unequal thicknesses resulting in hot spots causing warpage. Hand laid cars take an extremely long time because of multiple layers of cloth, and mat and core mat can be used. Each layer must be wetted out and rolled out and allowed to partilly cure before the next layer is laid. If done properly the pockets and air bubbles will be rolled out between layers. It is a slow and painstaking process. I can go on for hours on the diffrences between blown and rolled. Here is what I am talking about............... A large air pocket came between the jell coat and the blown glass. You must go over the entire car to punch these out and fill them in or they will haunt you after the paint is compleated.

I agree about hand laid glass, by far the best way to go over chop. We at our batcave hand lay all of the items we make and will be offering hand laid 89 kits as well.

I think it depends on who does it. My car is hand laid and I can should you a bunch of places that had air bubbles that I had to grind out. Not to mention mine was not uniform in thickness or should I say thinness? I think ideally I would hand lay a layer then spray and roll the rest.

| I have heard that is a good route to go, lay down 2 layers and then back it with some blown glass.
